  1. These are from a kickstarter that ran a while back.
  2. This is Jason Wiebe's sabertooth tiger, Reaper 02480. I painted it up with a lynx's coloration. WIP thread here. As a note, this is another form of the feline therianthrope also depicted here. So this is another PC for that idiosyncratic game of World of Darkness-Exalted I'm involved in. And that skull under the critter is small. (with 59037 Deadlands Noir Femme Fatale by Bob Ridolfi for scale)
  3. This is Reaper's 02480, Sabertooth Tiger, sculpted by Jason Wiebe. It's a nice muscular rendition of the Ice Age critter. This is my standard priming, with a thin coat of Titanium White paint (Golden matte fluid acrylic) and a wash of Burnt Umber afterwards. It reminds me of a lynx in general aspect, so I plan to paint it with more or less a lynx's coloration. The first thing I did was paint a sickly green, mixed from Yellow Ochre and Carbon Blck, over the base. I like to paint thinly enough so underlayers show through, to make things look more realistic. This works well for fur too. ... I couldn't help but notice that that skull underneath the creature is mighty small. Like, child sized. Next: Fur!
  4. The GM's NPC couldn't have a regular tiger familiar. Oh no. It had to be a red tiger. The GIMP and a little color shifting got me the shading I needed. The stripes are a mix of blue and brown liner - aka Payne's Grey. It's more transparent than a paint would be and I think it looks better.
  5. My Earthdawn character is a freaky little purple Windling. She has never met a stranger, is too curious for her own good, gets a little off her rocker if you feed her sugar, and has a "kitty" named Gus. I decided I liked the Lini figure but it wasn't quite right. I cut off the little hook she was holding. (I will be adding a sling since the DM thought it would be so funny for her to be gifted a magic rock). I added wings from a friend's bits box. For her pet "kitty" (a 400 pound Troajin - like a tiger), I bought a tube of cheap animals. I painted her Gus kind of like the shadowstalkers from World of Warcraft. The other one I painted like a tiger just for fun. They are just for tabletop so nothing fancy.
  6. The Female Leaders from my Horde from the North. Female Shaman from Shadowforge. Familiar is a Reaper Pinguin Barbarian Hero Is from Target Games/Chronophia with a Ral Partha Sabretooth tiger I believe. Not sure about the tiger.. And a Barbarian Female Hero with Black Panther from grenadier Linked because, well...nudity... 7. So I'm going to make a WIP for most of the minis I bought for this month's Ghoulie bag special Axebeak and the two giant snakes are dark-washed, I've started painting the tiger. Displacer phase cat is primed, and I've twisted his tentacles into poses that make me happy. Axebeak is on a Secret Weapon Blasted Wetlands base, and the giant snake [with his lovely dragon head that I decided to use instead of the viper one] is on a Secret Weapon Lava base *EDIT TO ADD* Ral Partha griffon and 03679 Giant Cobra. And a pack of old pewter doggies
  8. This is my Alice vs. Wonderland diorama I entered in my local con. It took third in diorama/vignette. I don't have a big enough photo setup for the whole thing so please excuse the pics. I was trying a reimagining of the classic tale with Alice and some Wonderland characters as badasses. Alice is 14311: Kassandra of the Blade. The Cheshire Cat is 02480: Sabertooth Tiger and the White Rabbit is a Darksword Rabbit Warrior. I sculpted the rabbit's watch and the paintbrush. The wickets are staples and the croquet balls are pin heads. The cards were downloaded, then printed, cut out and glued together. I wanted each to die in a unique way, appropriate to the characters. The base was made and stained in my school's woodshop. (I teach) I loved building this! My first big diorama. Your comments and critiques are welcome as always.
