Here are a couple of quick paints I did to support my fondness for dungeon dressing - looks better than white bones on the table!

I play a dungeon crawl game called NetHack. It generates treasure chests from time to time. I drag these around the dungeon and sometimes deposit them near stairs (the connections between levels). Anyway, I use them to deposit excess items, or items I fear might be cursed. The other alternatives are carry the items in inventory (burdens the character) or leave them laying around the dungeon (but creatures will move or worse use the items). Therefore into the chest they go. It occurred to me to save a particularly interesting chest as a text file. [[cf. Next Post ]] I thought it might make a good, randomly generated list of treasure for a paper and pencils game. I wondered if anyone else does the same with NetHack or other games. If you do feel free to post interesting Treasure Chest lists in the thread.

Finally had a chance to finish up a bunch of dungeon dressing I started back in May. I took a couple depths of focus on this scene; to get everything in focus: And finally, the Stalagmites from Bones 2:

Started on this piece while I am planing a new diorama. Now that I'm looking at it, the bandanna is the same color as the crabs. I think I will change that.

I quick-painted the five Bones pirates, and this is the fourth. I hated his little moustache, so I ignored it when I painted the figure.

Another vignette from my private collection and another figure that I love...have painted (4) color versions of her so far. I submitted this to the Inspiration Gallery and have heard nothing...I am starting to get to the point that maybe I am not doing the Inspiration Gallery submissions correctly (but I am waiting to see).

A friend (who loves pirate miniatures) asked me to paint this figure (but without the wings & parrot); so I added a wine bottle and did her as a standard female pirate figure.
