  1. So for a while now I've been incorporating the dark elf skin triads into my washings and shading quite a lot depending on the colors, but they are becoming kind of common for me. Does anybody else use them for the same purpose? Just curious....
  2. So I have been painting a bit off and on for a couple of years now and I have some parts of the triads but I don't think I actually have a full triad. In your opinion which Triads are the most important must have completed triads that Reaper sells? This is for the starting painter that needs to get some paints and only really has the funds to get the most used stuff. Edited to add: Sorry that I forgot to mention I have over 70 different paints right now just no full triad sets.
  3. Hello All, possibly dumb question -- those who use the MS HD paints. Are any of these organized in triads? Some seem like it and some don't. I'm interested in giving them a try because I like to thin my paints, and whenever I try to thin my MS paints from the first Kickstarter, even just a wee little bit, they run like water. They are already treated with some kind of thinner that makes them great out of the bottle but problematic for me applying thinned layers over base coats, which I like to do. I am hoping that the HD paints will thin and not run. Your thoughts are most appreciated. Cheers.
  4. With my army of bones arriving in the next few weeks, I've been trying to decide on how to handle priming (or not priming) them. It seems that many hear are very happy with just cleaning them and base coating straight on them. So I'm going to give that a go as well as trying a primer version and a base wash version. I know I'll have bones to experiment with this on (the non-fantasy ones at a minimum). But given that, it seems to me that the HD paints would be great for that base coat in order to give good initial coverage. My issue is that I plan to start with using triads for my initial painting to help with color choice and then move to more mixing in the future. But I don't see how the HD paints are supposed to fit into the triad system. The website says they expand the triad system, but no where can I find how they fit into it. Any help or pointers appreciated of course.
