I'm a novice painter and this is about the 20th mini I painted up. I'm about to DM and old-school dungeon crawling campaign using 3.5 rules and I'm in the process of painting up the necessary minis. So I started painting for strictly tabletop purposes but I'm enjoying it much more than expected. I've decided to give NMM a try and this is the outcome of the first attempt. I guess I should have blended the colors but it still looks decent when on the table. Any kind of feedback is welcome! :)

This is Jeanne from Hasslefree Miniatures. A miniature I bought on a whim and I'm very pleased with how fast she was to finish, and with rather good result as well. I was on the fence which hair color I should try and use and eventually settled for a rather orangey one.

First Show-Off Post These are some of the last minis I painted before the presbyopia started to kick in. At one time I could see what I was doing! But since then I have dis-improved. My experiments with OTC reading glasses continue—I must have almost a dozen pairs at this point. If I remember rightly I painted the Gnoll and the Paladin at a Reapercon several years back. Or at least that is when I started them. But the remembry is a funny thing—so that might not be totally right. At one point Sir William got to serve in a Warhammer Chaos Army as either a BSB or a unit Champion. It helped that his broccoli base + the plastic regulation square base + the steel washer let him tower head and shoulders above the other plastic Chaos warriors. The steel washer is under there to let him stick magnetically to the unit tray. I need to incorporate the Gnoll into my Reven Army for Warlord.

I finally got to painting my Bones Orc Berserker, by Tre Manor. It was one of the first Bones I purchased, an awesome sculpt. I didn't get him nearly as green as has been my tendency with previous orcs. Was aiming for some more bluish black. In other news, my first use of a Secret Weapon wash is here: I used Baby Poop (lol) on the dark armor. Again, having trouble with the photos. I went back and took the last couple shots here after; I think maybe they give a better representation of how he looks in person. Thanks for looking. Comments and criticism are very welcome. Still trying to get better!
