...He of the All-Seeing Eye, the Subjugator, the Deathless, a LIVING GOD! Submit your puny planet and LIVE! Resist, and be ANNIHILATED! You all know the type. There's at least one in every universe. Big fans of telling people to GROVEL AND ABASE THEMSELVES OR BE DESTROYED! Unfortunately for the universe, Marduk has the juice and the psychic powers (and the fanatical armies of laser-bearing spacemen) to back it up. KNEEL, DOGS! PROSTRATE YOURSELVES BEFORE THE POWER OF THE OMNISCIENT, THE GLORIOUS ONE!! The Imperials are extremely durable, and a combination of effective immortality and wormhole access has allowed Marduk to bootstrap and tinker with their evolution over the aeons. The average Imperial is strong as an ape, tough as a Krodox, almost as smart as a Martian, and gifted with psionic powers (and also lasers, can't forget the lasers and jackboots). They are also disastrously committed and/or brainwashed into the Imperial project. Marduk with his favored consort and General Zarek: With his daughters, each as ambitious and evil as they are beautiful: With his Hierophant, Vizier, and Chief Psi-Magus: And with a few among the rabble who have distinguished themselves in battle and won glory. There are planets across this spiral arm that bear evidence of crystal cities and advanced civilization, all abandoned now, with the sigil of the EYE cracked into their crusts, and a series of glyphs that have been translated as "CONSCRIPTION." It is not clear to those outside the inner circle what Marduk needs armies the population of worlds for, but it's probably not anything good. Keep watching the skies, cadets!

This guy stands on a GW base but, according the the local aficionados, isn't. It's in 5 or so pieces, stands around 10cm tall if I recall, and is molded in a very light but not flimsy plastic--I had to hold it a while to make sure it wasn't resin. Ideas?

This is a lot of dragon to paint. There is more I could do (there always is), but I'm calling it done. He is bit too big for my photo booth, but what do you expect from the Dragon Tyrant? I based the color scheme on the 90's D&D cartoon version of Tiamat with some artistic interpretation on my part. I assembled the main body, arms, legs and head, but left the wings and two other sub-assemblies of neck and head apart for painting. This meant that I had to fill some gaps after final assembly and paint over the green stuff I used, but I think it made the different parts more accessible for painting. For those that have not yet assembled this model, you'll want to slot the feet into the base while the glue sets on the legs and body; the fit is not exact and if you don't you may find the stance too narrow to fit onto the base. This meant I had to fill in some gaps between the legs and body, but nothing a little roll of green stuff could not fix.I also had to fill some gaps around the left wing, but that may have more to do with me not paying close enough attention when gluing it to the body. Anyway, here is Ma'al Drakar the Dragon Tyrant in all his tabletop glory.

Did this Hive Tyrant yesterday/today. He is magnetized to be able to switch between legs and wings. The 'not alien' head is from Epoch Studioz. Overall, I am really happy with this one. Edit: Updating the post with the based miniature. It has some drool, now, too! Alternate version, with all magnetized parts switched out:

Hi, I made a bit more progress on my NOD-like Rach Force and painted the Tyrant and Vanquisher B CAVs. These sculpts don't really appeal to me, so I quickly slapped some paint on to call them done and move on to other models (or maybe take a break...) Still, they look nice in my Force: Tyrant Vanquisher B Incremental Group shot.

I just want to show off the non player minis I painted for my Dungeons & Dragons club over the past year. Today: everything undead Starting with zombies, I got me some that could fit in a fantasy setting: http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/zombie/sku-down/06135 http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/zombie/sku-down/03598 http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/03601/sku-down/03601 next up are skeletal warriors. I love these figures, they remind me so much of the old Ray Harryhausen movies. http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/06133/sku-down/06133 Then we got Dragoth, the defiler http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/02056/sku-down/02056 The ghost king http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/02991/sku-down/02991 And the whispering tyrant who - being quite a snap taller than average human - makes a pretty good level boss http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/60060/sku-down/60060 ...hope you like them
