I have finished the Pink Horrors now.

Here are the finished Brimstone Horrors.

I recently finished an exalted flamer and trio of regular (unexalted?) flamers. Enjoy.

One of the minis that first got me into gaming was the old Lord of Change. This was a good while back- in those days, a Lord of Change was mounted on a square 40mm base, and wasn’t much larger than the ogres of the day and they fit into a blister pack. The new Lord of Change may very well be the best mini Games Workshop has in its lineup. A very fine piece indeed, and I’m happy that I’ve gotten to paint it a few times now. Here are two of them (for the same force).

I often get to paint up forces in some pretty interesting color schemes, and here's a nice example. This force was going with an all blue theme- the core color for Tzeentch. The part that made it really shine was the fact that most of the minis were affiliated with other chaos factions. So, if you ever wondered what Khorne or Nurgle characters would look like if the Changer of Ways got to them, here they are. The other thing that made this force special is the fact that many of these chaos warriors are converted from Stormcast eternals. My client did the conversions, but I really think they turned out great and go to show just how easy it is to corrupt Sigmar's elite.

A while back, a buddy of mine asked me to paint up a Warhammer figure for him. This took me a while, but I'm finally finished just as he's coming back from deployment. This guy was a pain, but also taught me a lot. Based his coloration partially on the Bearded Vulture, a pretty cool bird. Gave me the idea of orange skin and blue-black feathers. Here's where the pain came from. The model is top-heavy as heck with those wings, bue he has a single point of contact with the base. To make matters worse, the foot is a separate piece from the leg. I had to drill, pin, glue, and greenstuff it so many times, the foot ended up an elephantine cancerous mass. Still, he's a demon of change and mutation, so it kind of fits. The base is micro-arts. Tomorrow, right before I seal the model, I'll clean up around the edges on it. Maybe give it a blue or yellow rim. This is probably my best attempt at white so far. Went from a bone-color up on the bottom and a light blue up on the top to reflect the ground and sky respecively. Mousling tax! While waiting for the basecoat on the base to dry, I went ahead and painted this guy. Took me about fifteen minutes, which makes him my fastest paintjob ever. He's not a great paintjob, but it was a lot of fun, and if I ever decide to clean him up further, I can.
