03524 Masaki, Ronin Every time I look at this miniature the line "They call me Jack..." comes in my head. I painted him to medium tabletop but his skin, that was fun. That was something I succeeded with at above tabletop, so I don't know where to put him quality-wise. The white I figured, given everything that happens during that show, would not be clean and crisp as it shows up every time on the show, so I made it a bit more dingy. I'm happy with it even if it's not super-crisp. I could probably throw another highlight on top for the white, but I really feel that he looks better this way. I threw a few gears on the ground to indicate he just blew up one of Aku's monsters, and his sword is slightly less bright because of that. C&C always welcome :)

Vilhanna the Victorious from Red Box Games (currently available through Hasslefree Miniatures as Hanna of Vil). A quickie to improve my 2016 painted stats :) And appreantly I'm still not confident enough to try some free hand on a shield.

I've been hitting a slump in my painting that's been keeping me from these forums for quite a while. I'm trying to regain my rythm and getting some pieces done. This is one of them: This is Viggoth the Remorseless, from Red Box Games. He's abit smaller than I would like to but still a great sculpt. Somehow I messed up the varnishing and I just can't for the life of me get some of the glossy spots matt, no matter how much I spray them will dull coat (I've only sprayed him once or twice, I don't want to ruin the whole figure).

Strong Belwas from Darksword Miniatures. I had a better paintjob going in my head but in the end this is what I ended up with. I probably should have made his shirt and pants a different color, but I don't know which.

I've recently relized that the end of 2014 is fast approaching and I'm nowhere close to completing my second (and most important) painting goal of 2014: that all 2014 purchases must be finished within 2014 (excluding kickstarters). I've spent most of my (recently dwindling) paint time just working through my quickdip pile and really slacking off the metal pile. But as 2014 moves towards its end I really need to pick up the pace. So here's the Dwarven Bar Patron from Hasslefree Miniatures.
