  1. Hello everyone, here are pictures of the second of 06143, Tomb Guards sculpted by Bob Ridolfi. This is the metal version from the Nefsokar Warlord Army Packs.
  2. Hi everyone, here are pictures of the first of 06143, Tomb Guards sculpted by Bob Ridolfi. This is the metal version from the Nefsokar Warlord Army Packs. I recently painted the three mummies from the pack and will post them on the forum this week. I really enjoyed their big Khopesh and the detail on there shields.
  3. Hi everyone, Here are pictures of the third skeletal beast in the series. 77931, Skeletal Manticore sculpted by Julie Guthrie. Painted with Reaper MSP paint and mounted on a 2 inches base.
  4. Hi everyone, Here is the second skeletal beast I painted last week. This is Bones model 77924, Skeletal Chimera sculpted by Julie Guthrie. I added dirt and moss on it to make it look like it's freshly animated. The leaves are dry birch tree seed hulls. I picked them up in the forest and painted them before gluing them on the base. As a reference, the base is 2 inches wide.
  5. Good day everyone, With the dead leaves season comes harvest time. Autumn is also a time for gathering and for reflection. Like the Tuilvilanuue words say "Nilsi hentil kilta anno", it takes four seasons to make a year. Here are some pictures of Julie Guthrie awesome 77923 Skeletal Owlbear. I really enjoyed painting this model. The design of the skeletal beasts that Reaper recently produced is stunning. It is an archeological journey in fantasy land.
  6. I know I messed up the timing this year, and worked on Deadcember instead of Orctober. I wasn't feeling super-motivated by the small amount of unpainted Orcs I had, but from my Frostgrave II: Arcanic Boogaloo order had a ton of the living dead. And one never has enough Zombies. However, it means there's plenty of spookybois to be shown off! The Draugr, mostly converted from the Fireforge Living Dead Peasants and Frostgrave Barbarians with some Warhammer bits. The Knockers, aga
  7. RocketPig Miniatures. 3D printed on Elegoo Mars. Necromera. Part of my Children of the Night Project. WIP Here: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/79298-children-of-the-night-by-glitterwolf/ It's night, it rains and it seems everybody in this forsaken town has closed their doors and windows. Even the Inn seems to be closed, why? One would think the villagers are afraid of something. You hear the sound of wings in the dark sky above you. Suddenly you hear a soft voice: All alone in the dark? How nice!
  8. Nolzur's do make a few great monster minis, even though most -if not all- of their humanoid minis are too small, weedy and have too shallow detailing for my liking. Here is one: Yep, a dead head. 50mm base. The main colour is Citadel Contrast Plaguebearer flesh, the rest is regular paint. This mini was finished September 12th 2020. Zombie Beholder Nolzur's Marvellous Miniatures, Wave 11 2020 Wizkids I have no idea who sculpted this, as WizKids do not -as far as I know- publish this info. PVC, 50mm base
  9. I've got more dead things for you today. @Igormortis isn't the only one looking for some dirty dead! Here's my little collection of swamp zombies. The crowning jewel of this set is of course the Dreadmere Wight from Bone 4 Dreadmere. He's got plenty of character packed into such a simple model. I love him. Along side him we have a repainted Zombie from D&D Giants of Legend prepaints (#40). I've had this guy for ages, way before i learned to play D&D or ever picked up a mini brush. His paintjob was pretty bland and
  10. Crawling back from the dead here with this fun little handful of zombies! Added some gravestones to a few of them using popsicle sticks. Just good ole' classic grave crawling zombies. Went for a dusty color palette. Which one do you think turned out best?
  11. Unknown female vampire figure I picked up in a boxed game set. Can't remember the exact name or manufacturer. Box art showed them in purple, I wanted to explore other colors. I see her as the kind of vampire that likes to play with her food and enjoys a bit of lively sport. I have 2 of her sisters to do in other colors. The photo is a bit washed out from the flash. Her skin is a pale grey, different than her white gloves. Casting on the face is strange, she has an odd shaped mouth, and no nose so I painted one on.
  12. And what's a graveyard setting without some undead wolves to harry the party in the snow?
  13. Greetings! Vietnam Zombie with gun from Citadel Miniatures of old! This was a limited release which was linked with both the Chainsaw Warrior board game & 40K Chaos. Thanks for looking!
  14. I printed this on my Elegoo Mars, STL is from Gloomy Kid. Vampire Lord in Bat Form, You're invited to dinner! WIP HERE: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/79298-children-of-the-night-by-glitterwolf/
  15. One step closer to having the full Dungeon Dwellers set finished! I tried a lot of different stuff here, most for the first time! Such as... -Full NMM armor -Freehand on cloak -Painted highlights on liquid -A unique gem in the shield (Watermelon Tourmaline) -A tiny bit of OSL on the eyes
  16. I recently finished playing Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire and felt the urge to paint something piratey. There is a lot of room for improvement, and I regret my colour scheme (It is lacking a bit of contrast) but I still enjoyed painting this one, I even felt adventurous enough to attempt some weathering on the sword which didn't turn out as horrible as I anticipated. Overall a good learning exercise. Miniature: Captain Razig Maker: Reaper Minatures SKU: 02437
  17. So I started 3D printing and one of the models was a female Vampire, I scaled her down to size since she was actually a large model. I was inspired to paint her like Elvira. Elvira: My Lady:
  18. Bob Ridolfi's Graveflesh Servant (aka Bride of Frankenstein) in Bones. I tried to get some different flesh tones on her various parts, do some bruising at the wounds, and not-exactly-sheer fabric effects. Spent far less time on it than I should have.
  19. This was one of two figures I painted for @Fealron for the Secret Sophie this year. His ideas were Metal, minimal basing for gaming use, a woodland creature, usually considered good but turned to evil, and a minion of a necromancer. After thinking a while, I decided I could knock out all his ideas with some evil unicorns. Here is the second. Maybe once the prior unicorn charmed by a necromancer does, he raised it as a skeleton, and put another minion on top. Here are the WIP shots: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/90618-02631-s
  20. The biggest model I've ever painted, I worked on it in sections and then assembled it onto the base when finished. I made very minor modifications to Kalarax herself, mostly inserting a lot of brass rods to support joints, and using hot water to bend the tail around onto the base (which is 25 cm square!) There was a lot more work on the base, using rocks, grit and sand to meld the Bones "ruined temple" into a larger scene with common elements from my Vampire army (see sig below) You may know the story of why the model is so big - apparently a communications error meant that it is t
  21. I found it really hard to light and photograph such a tall model, I'll have to get him off his shelf and try and take better pictures at some point in the future. I chose the bright red tongue to tie in with the reddish muscle and the red roses (which are a theme of my Warhammer Vampire project) as a spot colour.
  22. Painted to match my Warhammer Vampire army, using old Citadel Foundation paints and a lot of Agrax Earthshade wash
  23. EDIT - This is now going to be somewhere I dump all my Reaper projects while (hopefully) not causing chaos by misusing the Show Off section. I'll pop finished miniatures that are individually worth looking at over there, too. My first post on the Reaper Forum, so please be nice! Not 100% sure where to post this as it falls into several categories. but here it is anyway - my Reaper Bones Hill Giant "Tribe" and their hillside display base. I posted these in my regular Warhammer forum but they are too far removed from WFB to gain much interest, so I thought I'd share them
  24. From the Mid 2000's attempt to revive the D&D Chainmail come this Battered Troll Skeleton which was the biggest mini in the Ahumut's Legion Faction box. He has been sitting unpainted for many years as I have found with many of the minis the D&D produced at the time they where a pain to assemble. In his case the full arm and no peg or post and his skull with a bit of the neck was its own part with a minuscule peg and post that did not fit right and would never be able to support the weight of the head. also with the base you had to hand cut the slot that you would tab him into which is
  25. The Undying King is a nameless monarch from a long forgotten kingdom, whose quest for immortality saw him and his subjects turned into war machines conscripted to fight an endless war. (In actuality this is Katakros - Mortarch of the Necropolis from Games Workshop) Eventually the whole thing will look like this:- But at the moment it looks like this:- I probably could have done with leaving things in even more bits (painting the inside of those capes is going to be a nightmare), but that's a problem for future me.
