  1. Got another one in this weekend all the way through, painted and based. I have seen this model done a number of different times and have really envied the work of those I saw, but it was finally my turn. Overall, this one was done on faster side and I'd love to have gone into further detail, but I got a bit excited to finish. I think I could punch up the cape a bit more with some orange. The skeleton colors were a bit of a test: light brown, sand yellow, splintered bone. The steel mail was also a test where I cant sem to figure out how to best highlight metal. It's too bright for me to see how much I'm layering on and it just looks like big jumps when I try. Either way, this one came out good, but I know I could have done it better.
  2. Alright, let me just say I havent had much luck with florescent paints. That is unti today. Goodness! I had seen reference to using Golden paints on YouTube from Lyla Mev and she discussed how she likes to mix them into regular paints. Taking this as a chance to try something new, I figured why not? HO-LEE COW! So glad I did. This stuff just brings the highs to the next level. I was painting the model and each time I layred up I nearly said out loud like Emerill on his cooking show, "BAM!" Open to any feedback and would love to hear if anyone else has used these Golden High Flow Florescent paints and their results . Also - woud you put anything else on that base to spice it up?
  3. Got another one of these polished off. I really like these vampire models from GW. I'm also very happy that Spooktober is forcing me to paint more.
