  1. Reaper SKU #'s: Skeletal Archer - 77018 Spider - 77126 Hellakin Gorecutter, Halfling Thief - 77165 Here's the WIP if you are interested. The Plight of Hellakin Gorecutter: The tale was a strange one the young halfling thief thought to himself. Up in the hills there was said to be a deadly beast, something the locals called the "Redstripe" guarding a treasure for the ages, but every adventurer who had gone into the cavern disappeared and was never heard from again. The music played in the tavern and he mused to himself that such a score could set him up for life. He mu
  2. This is the (9th) completed vignette as listed on my (WIP) forum of fantasy vignette projects posted on Oct. 2, 2013; that I wanted to complete in Oct-Nov 2013. VIGNETTE TITLE...DESERT PROSPECTOR (EUREKA)... FIGURE...REAPER # 50119 (Crazy Pete the Prospector)... NOTE...This may bring an end to my projected vignette projects as listed on the above (WIP)...I do not have the figures I need for the other named/titled vignettes and without the figures...I can't work on the bases (since I don't know when and which figures will arrive first). I hope that you like this little desert vi
  3. I set myself a goal: Speed paint some figures for a tableau to enter into the Halloween/Fall Contest. My friend Heisler sent me a huge box of BONES from the Kickstarter, so I rummaged through it and found a couple of figures that would lend themselves easily to basic techniques. I started Tuesday afternoon and finished Wednesday night. I did do some free hand work on the skellies shield, but it was pretty basic so it didn't take long. I used stippling on all the metals, which is an easy technique that allows you to be quick and sloppy. Everything else is just base colours, w
  4. PROJECT...This is a private vignette with a Lara Croft type female character in a jungle setting next to a foo dog statue. 6. This is my entry for the Pulp Themed Competition. She was a lot of work, but I learned a great deal by doing her. I did a detailed W.I.P. also http://www.reapermini.com/forum/index.php?/topic/49983-olearys-wip-thread-of-everything-reaper/page-4#entry750121 I've enjoyed painting Pulp so much that I've bought more Reaper Chronoscope Pulp and am participating in a Pulp Painting Club. Can someone tell me how to link to text as I have no idea how to do that. Also I have no idea why this added that attached Thumbnail to the bottom and I can't get rid of it. My apologies.
  7. These little guys were loads of fun to paint and I felt like they needed to have their own little habitat to live in. So I built them one. Step-by-step W.I.P. http://www.reapermini.com/forum/index.php?/topic/49983-olearys-wip-thread-of-everything-reaper/page-2
  8. I just completed another novelty vignette for my private collection...I have titled it (The Streets of San Francisco)! The figures used were (Hasslefree - Old Man # HFV005 and Reaper Young Lady # 50157...Townfolk/Ladies of the Night). Hope that you find it as cute as I do!
  9. As a change of pace from my fantasy miniature painting and fantasy terrain building; I work in the modern era in areas that deal with modern mercenary models and figures. This is a (Congo Keel Boat). On the river it is known by the common name of (river taxi)...the version depicted here is (23'6") with a draft of (2'4")...used for moving just about anything on the Congo river system. The most famous version of this boat (a longer version) was depicted in the 1951 movie (The African Queen) with Humphrey Bogart. The model is 97% scratch built in the 1/35th scale area and in the " princes
  10. Tattoo & Piercing tent vignette. This is the (8th) of 8 vignette pieces that make up the traveling Gypsy market. This completes the basic tent work (vignettes) for this small Gypsy vagabond group...Next will be the building of a few Gypsy wagons. Prior to the start of that project; I will have to spend some time doing research on the small number of and types of wagons that I want included in the final view of this

  18. I saw this set in my hobby shop and thought that it was a great looking set...bought it...painted it...and this vignette is the final results. For myself, I paint figures that I like and that I figure I would enjoy painting...so I have no real topic or title type of figures in my collection.
  19. A friend (who loves pirate miniatures) asked me to paint this figure (but without the wings & parrot); so I added a wine bottle and did her as a standard female pirate figure.
  20. This was a commission painting I did for a friend. He wanted a modern " hot " looking witch that was still in the fantasy theme. I had fun and really enjoyed painting this miniature. I hope the viewers like it.
