A family of gong farmers(Gaerhart, Gertrud, & Gerd) from the Dunkeldorf line of minis! These were really fun to paint! 😄 (The bucket and wheelbarrow are part of the set.) Painted with AP Speedpaints for the base coat and some tinting, as well as some regular AP paints and a bunch of Reaper paints. Did some experimenting with this, doing no layering outside of the skin, but instead went hard on the edge highlighting. I think it turned out well. 😄

Hi everyone, last night I completed this peasant with a hoe. I wanted to make him look old, so I painted his clothes to look worn and dirty. I also painted dark circles under his eyes, a sparse white mustache and a big wart on his jaw. Life in the field is tough. This is a Reaper Miniatures 02825, Townsfolk peasant with a hoe. It's a Dark Heaven Legends model that was sculpted by Bobby Jackson. He's also available in plastic version under sku: 77665. I painted him with Reaper MSP.

I'm a bit behind on my show-offs. Here's one from July. From Reapercon 2020..... I wanted to give this fairy tale classic a modern twist, thus the tie-dyed shawl and the green apple. Granny might also have some other "organic" produce and specialty home made items behind the counter.

A lovely little sculpt by Bob Ridolfi, she was part of our swag from Reapercon 2020. I added the extra gosling on the base, as well as a couple extra golden eggs. I thought they looked more like potatoes than eggs in this shot, though. :)

This guy was in the villager group from Bones IV - but I don't think I want him to join in the town meeting.... I am using him as a bandit. I'm happy with the textures and the bottle, but once again the photos show me I need to push my highlights more!

Messed around with painting the last couple weeks. These are Bones villagers from one of the recent KS. Tried some new color combos, and using the Pathfinder paints for the first time. Was having trouble getting good coverage with a lot of the paints, I ended up needing multiple coats (at least 4 on that brown coat) and going over them with washes and Contrast paints. Good enough for tabletop, IMO.

Part of Bones4, IIRC. Started him at Reapercon, didn't get far with all the distractions. Did some work on him over Thanksgiving but didn't get him finished enough to count for the paint binge. Started withe the bright purple robe and then wasn't sure where to take him after that. Teal happened. It worked. Just glad to have it done at this point so I can move on.

Painted up the cart from Reaper's Bones 4 Dreadmere expansion, and did some modifications to it. First, I installed magnets into three base and the crate and barrel so they wouldn't fall off, and then created a bunch of cabbages because I'm a huge Avatar fan. But then, I needed a cabbage salesman, and so I did some modifications to a Bones 4 villager (head swap, added hat, modified the hand, etc) and painted him as a close approximation. Finally, just for fun, I threw in the halfling Kineticist that I painted up in Aang's colors a year or so ago...

Finished up the Farmer NPC from Bones 4 today, and I have to say he is the most peasanty looking peasant that ever peasanted, I bet he didn't even vote for the king. really happy how he turned out and was a fun paint

elder spawn pointed out yesterday that if I finished 1 more mini I would be at 20 for the month. since my fire giantess wasn't going to count as part of the Bones3 push, I swithched to a dwarf. this makes the seventh member of the GoldDigger clan. perhaps I need a snow white, ill question the spawn to a suitable figure.

This is Reaper 3789 Fishwife and Crone. These are the metal versions of the miniatures coming in Bones 4 as part of the Dreadmere set. Painted up for tabletop gaming use. I painted the fish as a delicious deepwater fish from Norway called "Uer". I have fond memories fishing for these at the shore of the Finnmark fjord, where the drop off was extremely deep. I was sad to find these fish are now considered endangered.

One more from the Thanksgiving paint binge. I wanted to paint her in bright fall colors, so I used Corporeal Shadow and Pumpkin Orange on her clothing.

This little lady was a joy to paint up. Only issue was a mold line across her face which caused some minor issues painting her lips and nose. This is the best hair I think I have painted.

Knowing I would be short of time for painting this past week due to Spring Break traveling, I skipped doing another figure from the Bones I Kickstarter "Necromancers" set that I had been working on recently, and instead selected one of the simpler figures from the Bones I Kickstarter "Townsfolk II" set to paint: the Village Rioter. I did a quick tabletop paint job on him and think he turned out pretty good. As always, C & C welcome.

My gaming group will be starting Temple of Elemental evil in a couple weeks which begins in the village of Hommlet. I asked what I could get started with painting in anticipation of the new adventure and the DM said townsfolk. So trying to finish up all my Bones I townsfolk. The innkeeper/bartender was first. Nothing special here. Inspired by other people's very creamy looking aprons I attempted to do the same. Not as clever as some paint jobs and conversions I've seen of this guy, but my first two minis painted in July so that's something. Anyways, I always appreciate feedback, even critical feedback, and thanks for reading!

This is the most extensive modification I have done to a figure. I sculpted her dress and filled in the wing holes in her hair. I also have the original, so if I want some skin practice I will paint her up with the same hair color.

Here is my first attempt to paint up a Hasslefree Miniature. I painted the Hasslefree Barwench up to add another figure to my fantasy villagers. I also gave her head band a try at freehand. And here we go: Thanks for any C&C you feel inspired to give.

Here's my fourth miniature of February (for the revolutionary painting challenge). One of the challenges was to paint something Valentine's Day themed. I'm a little less creative than some folks who've already posted, but I plucked one of my Bones strumpets up and decided to paint her in a nice V-Day pink color. She was fun to paint. I used the blood triad for the darker shades and then the punk rock pink and the breast cancer pink colors for her pink highlights. Something a little funky happening with the sculpt on her arm but maybe I should've cleaned up better prior, but I'm okay with how it turned out. C&C welcome!

First up in my February miniatures, the townsfolk: village rioter. I was just looking for something semi-fun inbetween other, more serious projects. I was a little worried his pants were too high contrast, it kind of makes him look cartoony, but that's not so bad, I guess. I always struggle painting eyes so when I got them both pointed the same direction I left it. But of course it leaves him looking angrily uphill (perhaps at Dr. Frankenstein's castle before he storms it). And he's not as bright as I wanted him to be color-wise, but I guess that's okay for realism. I had intended to line him a bit more, but I couldn't figure out how to do it with the really light colored shoulder thing he's got going on. Anyways, comments and suggestions would be appreciated as always.

I've been messing about with this guy in between other projects, and decided to finish him up today in an effort to cut down on all the WIP models cluttering my desk. So, now he's done! Nothing particularly fancy here, and a pretty neutral palette of colours. The base is good old herb leaf litter with static grass, and this brings my Bones Kickstarter finished model count to three! I'm flying through them!
