Yes it is him. Probably the most iconic Mini of an Evil sorcerer ever. And the longest sitting on my desk Mini in my Arsenal. In my Edition it was called Hexer, meaning warlock. Dont know the Original Name. I have to finish this one if I ever want to get my painthandle back.

Really happy with the way this one turned out. I used her a while back as a Halfling necromancer in a campaign that sort of fizzled out. I feel like she'd also work as a gnome (and as a warlock).

Hello All, Here is a recently completed 77054 "Galladon, Human Wizard". I did have to make changes to the staff. I could not straighten it out by any means to my satisfaction. So, I cut off the original staff, drilled a hole in his hand and replaced the Bones bendy plastic staff with a brass rod. I cut off the bottom and top of the plastic staff, pinned the parts to the brass rod and there you go. Thank you for looking.

Wiggles was a freebie with the Squealers core set, which are primed and ready to be painted. He was pretty easy to paint and a lot of fun.

Showcasing more old-paintjobs from one of my former adventuring parties. This time we look at Willow the Eladrin Warlock, represented by Feiya, Iconic Witch. I enjoyed playing with colors with her, though in retrospect, I wish I had used some more magentas and purples. I believe the leaves on the base were painted oregano. Reverse side under the spoiler: Willow is an Eladrin of the Feywild. When her world started to freeze over, she was sent by her patron to cross over into the material world and discover the source of the cold. A stranger to Frostrun and an outsider to this World, Willow must rely on her new friends to help her save her own realm. Check out the rest of the Frostrun project HERE.

Vatanis came in my Paint & Take Home Survival Kit, and I started him off as part of the craft paint challenge, but it just wasn't working. So he got set aside for a couple of months, until I saw Cicciopiu's magnificent rendition. I leaned on it heavily for inspiration https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/92152-vatanis-maggotcrown-warlock-sku-44052/ He has so, so many details. I could put much more time into this, but I had reached a point where I had to stop.

These two were mostly done a while ago (along with their buddy Darkrasp). It's just taken me a while to work up the courage to paint the scroll and spellbook and get them off my shelf of shame!

Sartzanek, the mad archmage! Twisted like an iron pole struck by lightning. On another world, on another time, he says he was Blackcloack, the lord of an infinite dungeon. On sundays he is Zifnab and White Jenkins, the small aberration on his shoulder, secretly a dragon. For a while he liked to play games with adventurers and claimed his name was Penthos. Who knows, really. He may just be an old lunatic. Or maybe a sorcerer like no other... you decide. At your own risk.

painted up 77040 Satheras, male warlock as a Drow and used it as an experiment to test out Coal Back and Styx purple. really happy with the results though the purple ended up more like dragon red at the end. Also was the first time with the Dark elf skin triad, really liked it. also on the scroll I looked up an eldritch font and wrote out Cthulhu fhtagn

Here my last one that needed to be completed

On Wednesdays I’ve been playing in Storm King’s Thunder at my FLGS, and since I have lots of minis, I’ve basically been providing the minis for the game, including for my fellow players. However, in spite of how expansive my collection is, I don’t always have a perfect match… sometimes not even close to a good match. This was the case for the party’s human warlock and bard. For the warlock, I was using an elven bladesinger, and the bard was a female elven bard, both from the Chainmail line. It was not a good fit for the rogue-like warlock, and my utter and total lack of male bards of any type was frankly astonishing. The monk was okay (also from the chainmail line), but as an asamar, the skin was wrong, and the colors of everything else was off too. So with my most recent order I selected some new minis. 14544: Ian, Ivy Crown Mage for the warlock 02500: Fergus the Weaver for the bard After washing them and taking care of a bit of flash and moldlines (very minor in both cases) I mixed up some greenstuff and pressed out new bases to match the bases I’ve made for the rest of the party’s minis from the Ruined Courtyard stamp from Happy Seppuku. Once the greenstuff was cured I spray primed them black, and then got to painting. I’m still blocking in colors, and checking with my fellow players to make sure they match what they picture in their minds. I used Tanned Flesh for the warlock and and bard’s skin, and NMM Gold for the monk’s skin. Beyond that I’m not really sure what to do for the monk… Waiting on feedback. For the warlock, I’m painting the tunic in blue, and I’m thinking about trying to give the impression of raven’s feathers for the mantle. The yellow accents will give a nice contrast to the otherwise black/blue/purple colors that’ll make up his pallet. The bard I’m less clear on how to paint him up. So far I’m going with a bright red tunic with some yellow/gold trim. We’ll see what feedback I get from the player going forward. More to come!

When some warlocks and warcasters go epic, they don't change all that much. This is not the case with Thagrosh, who seems to be slowly transforming into a full on dragon. For this project, my client wanted me to create a very different look for Thagrosh. I pitched him a couple ideas, and he really loved the concept of giving Thagrosh the Magma Dragon treatment. So here he is, in all his fiery glory.

Here's my version of Aurelio Endrino. I feel that there's a certain disconnection between the fact that he is obviously a druid, with a ragged cloack, with a racoon on his shoulder... and his perfectly groomed hair & beard. I guess beeing nature's paladin doesn't mean one should look like Radagast from "The Hobbit" trilogy. I tried a very similar look as the one reaper used. Leathers could be blended better I think...

I've first seen Vatanis as part of the Maggotcrown expansion on Reaper Bones IV Kickstarter. I inmediately added the expansion on my already excessive pledge; but to me Bones is only for the tabletop. On my showcases I want metal or at least resin miniatures with better definition, so I bought him as soon as the metal version was aviable. I think the miniature has a lot of character, and tells quite the story. First, it's a tiefling, a half demon on classic D&D. Then, apparently, a necromancer; a warlock too maybe, a generalist magician. But judging from his muscle tone and leather bandana we can assume he is also some kind of a warrior/rogue. We can expect him to be a deceiver, a powerful foe, a dangerous villain for our heroes. I didn't liked the scheme we can see on Reaper store, so I gived him another one a bit more sober, classic necromancer palette.

Hi there, I haven't been posting here for quite some time. But I have some finished minis I wanted to share with you. This is a a player character in my recently finished D&D Tyranny of Dragons campaign. A shield dwarf warlock, Fey Patron (Prince of Ice) with Pact of the Blade (or here: an magical ice axe, that's why it's white). I really liked painting this miniature, it has great facial details. As seen in my Lunch Sessions WiP thread, here's the finished product of Borka Kegslayer, the stumbling-drunk warlock for Privateer Press' Trollbloods faction. I painted this guy up as part of a trade with @chaosscorpion , so the mini will be on his way across the state in the near future, unless CS sees something terribly terribly off. Basing is left to Chaosscorpion to better match his army. The plaid is a specific tartan, I'm pretty pleased with it. I'm pleased that this mini pushed me into doing plaid, which I'd never done before. Borka also comes with a kegbearing Pyg. The kegstamp is, like the debossed pattern on the back of Borka's jacket, the symbol of the Trollbloods faction. I also enjoy the ridiculously drunken whelp sitting on top of the barrel. Chaosscorpion, let me know if there's anything that needs to change before I put them in the mail!

Painted this guy last weekend. Highlighting is still a problem for me, but I still like the way he turned out. I plan on touching up a lot of the paint next weekend, and eventually going over the parchment again to update the writing, but for now it will do. Any tips on doing small runes or letters would be appreciated. Thanks as always!

It's been a while since I posted anything I'm working on, quite frankly I've not been working on anything the last couple of months, I ran outta steam on a couple of projects I was doing about 3/4 of the way through on them and will finish them (eventually). Anyhow, I'm working on 3 tabletop plus figures for 3 of my D&D group friends who are playing in my current campaign entitled "Broken Gods." All the characters were gods 5,000 years ago. Then the event happened, the peoples of the world stopped believing in them. They were cast down to the earth and have just now awoken... The PC's are all Demigods with extraordinary powers, but they have no memories of their former selves yet, they gain those as they progress and level up. The three PC's I'm currently working on are the party warlock, party eldritch knight and party bard. I have included inspiration pics of their characters they provided to me. Bale the Eldritch Knight, god of thunder and battle - the figure is from the Minx kickstarter, I modified him by cutting off and filing off spikes that were protruding from his back and bare arm, I noticed he has 4 fingers, but this is so close of a figure to the pic that I ran with it. Next is the party Warlock, Cairan (pronounced keer-awn). He's the god of death and war tactics, think Valkyrie. The figure is reaper 03505 (Karahl Farstep). He has an affinity with ravens so I took an eagle or hawk from one of the reaper bones familiar packs, mounted it on his shoulder and am painting it up as a raven. Finally we have Cadence, the goddess of Sunlight and Music - she's the party bard. I took DSM-7437 (Female Rogue Dual Wield by Jeff Grace) and modified it, cutting off the dagger in her offhand, used a reaper accessories lute I had and attached to her side/hip under her arm. If you've followed my WIPs before you know my method of priming is to prime everything in black first and then go back over it dry-brushing with white primer to pick out details and highlights. If you have questions, please ask and I'll continue to work on these for the next week or so. I don't want to put more than like 5-6 hours total in each figure, just enough to have a nice tabletop plus paint-job and to make them represent their characters in the game. Take it easy on me, this is just my seventh mini to paint with three of them being a set of identical orcs. First time trying green stuff any tips for improvements or things you think I did well would be much appreciated. Trying to figure out what worked and what didn't. This is Archon the Aasimar Warlock and his familiar (which has yet to be named). He was taken as a youth by a fiend for his celestial blood. On the brink of corruption he was rescued by a paladin of the Raven Queen. The Raven Queen then took over his pact and he now serves her hunting those who would defy the natural process of death.

Here is another mini I recently painted. Orginally intended for the Facebook contest, I finished it two days prior to the deadline, but never managed to take pictures. So I based it up for use in my Summoner's warband for Frostgrave. I figure he'll make agood apprentice. Done to my standard tabletop level, the pictures magnify every mistake I made. I tried to do some mystical runes on the scroll, but my paint was too thin and just bled everywhere. So he now has a water damaged scroll in his hand. Or perhaps, it only look blotchy to the uninitiated. Yeah, let's go with that. Also, are my picture looking as big on everyone elses screen as they are on mine? If so, I'll have to try and fix that. Fixing image size.

So, I've been painting (or hobbying) every day so far this year. I'm finally getting around to posting figures as I've finished some bases and am calling them done. First up is Damien, who I painted up a while back to represent my Tiefling Warlock for 5th Edition. I modified the staff into a rod (a more Warlock type item) and kept him simple. The game I painted him for never really went anywhere and when we decided to try to get a New England area Frostgrave campaign going, I dusted him off (literally as he sat on my desk for months) and based him up to represent a Summoner. Just a basic tabletop job. I like how his silver eyes look. Give him that otherworldly sinister look.
