Here is the warrior/paladin guy from my Dragons Don't Share 2 set. He came without his shield so I used one of the new ones from Bones 3. I realized after I super glued it that I stuck it on wrong. Too bad because my super glue works tremendously well! It's not that big of a deal to me so I went ahead and painted him up. I really like how he turned out and I hope you guys do too! C&C always welcome.

I'm going to be playing in a second D&D group starting in a couple of weeks so I decided to get started on painting up my new character. I'm using darksword miniatures male warrior as my 2-handed vengeance paladin. It's really the only two handed weapon sculpt I could find that I really liked. I decided to just leave him on his base with how the sword is. I had to assemble the hand with the sword as there were two options for weapons, the greatsword and a great axe. Mold lines really weren't too bad. I decided to go with a red cloak since he's going to be from the order of the gilded eye. Their symbol looks to be a red background with a white gauntlet with an eye on the fist. I don't think I'm going to add the symbol to the cloak. Maybe if he had a shield I would give some freehand a try. Most of the base base coating is completed and I got started on the eyes. The armor I base coated a dark grey as I plan to highlight up from there to make the armor white. So the only areas the base coat should be showing is the shaded areas. I might add or subtract some gold details on the armor as I progress. Also the boots seem like they should be leather the more that I look at the details. For the most part they don't look too bad. I'm going to try and get the black outline a little thinner when I do the skin. Also the left eye is a little larger than the right, but I don't think it looks too bad. I'm undecided on touching it at this point because I don't want to really mess it up.

Nice to paint something small again. Probably one of many Drow to come.

A recent miniature to get me out of my two year funk

Ok all, not my best work but this is my first time working on a drow skinned model. Any advise or suggestions?

Delicate piece. Glued a swordhand, head, tail, wings and a dagger. Wish i had more time, but i had to call finished at this point. Spent about a week more than usual on him. So much going on with him.

Custom Legend of Zelda, Breath of the Wild inspired Paint scheme on elf warrior. The model is a 3D printed model and was brought to me by a customer She requested a Legend of Zelda inspired paint scheme based on a photo she provided of her character from the game. I really enjoyed doing this and translating the original art on to the model and I cant wait for a customer to bring me another challenge like this again. Next we have the Shrew Warrior. Again, sorry about the shininess. I'll post new pics once the weather cooperates for dull coating. Another fun little guy, full of character. Update! It actually stopped raining long enough to spray some dull coat. I've also been messing around with my phone and background to get less washed out pics.

Freshman year of high school, my friend Bob Evans (no lie) introduced me to the world of miniatures. I thought they were gorgeous and it looked like a supremely fun hobby, one I'd really enjoy... but I'd probably be no good at it. Besides, you've got to prime those things, and where was Mom gonna let me spraypaint? Fast forward two decades and I've finally started painting miniatures. (And I don't need to prime them! And there's brush-on primer now, too!) It seems silly, but the hobby is everything I've always wanted it to be: Meditative, rewarding, challenging, and a whole lot of fun. I dipped my toe in with the LTP kit and was hooked. Six weeks later and here we are! Without further ado, here are my first few fellas that I painted after burning through that kit and the Layer Up LTP kit. I'm surprised that there's not more love for these little guys on the forums or in the inspiration gallery! They do a good job straddling the line between adorable and vicious. These figures were my most challenging yet, with a lot of detail work. Each one took probably four to six hours to paint, and the teeth really gave me some trouble there. Meet Kermit and his thugs, Dig'em and Michigan J. I'm still a newbie to this hobby, so I'd gladly take any comments and criticism in the interest of honing my skills!

Angelica is finally finished. I went back to my WIP thread, and I realized I started her over a year ago. She has been sitting on my desk waiting to be based for a while now. I decided to go with a relatively simple base. I really enjoyed painter her up.. I hope you enjoy seeing her finished up. I certainly do. Thanks for looking and any C&C you feel to give.

So just got done painting some more old school Ral Partha classics, this time a set sculpted by Dennis Mize in 1996 (if you believe the bottom of the base) called Dark Divide, which was based on a Larry Elmore painting: My original thought was to actually paint it a little more faithfully to the original colors, but I ended up doing the gal's dress in green instead of pink and I made the vampire a lot more pale than he was in the painting. Being that the painting shows them being inside, I also just did a very generic bland base, instead of it being outside with dirt and grass, or even by making them over cobblestones or something similar. After seeing how he came out in the photos, I'm not overly happy with the armor for the warrior, but oh well, not going to change it now. I was going to take these pictures yesterday, but I've been using natural light any more to take photos with and it was so cloudy and rainy yesterday that I just couldn't get a decent photo. Anyhow, great fun to paint, pretty simple models, hope you all enjoy!

This is probably the reason I don't finish miniatures to quickly. I decided to begin prepping up a figure from another KS I backed. The 3 figures in this pack are in parts and rather fragile pieces. I also had to look at the photo to see which pieces and how I'm going to have to put them together. Here is a shot of Angelica - the Half-Elf Warrior in pieces.

These are my players for Chaos, in Blood Bowl. The Minotaur/Ogre and daemonettes, are from GW, and the Warriors are a mix of parts from GW, and Avatars of War.

Here's another batch of Talisman 4th Edition mini's. These have been great models to practice on, but good grief the production quality is bad. Also still having trouble figuring out how to take decent pictures. Was having problems with them being too dark, now I'm going the other direction. Thief Monk Warrior Elf

I'm new to this hobby, spent too much money buying my first pack of minis ((got the Hordes Krielstone bearer and stone scribe 4 set) because I hadn't come across the Reaper Bones at that point) and this is my fifth miniature I've painted. I wanted to paint a half orc barbarian sort of character in case I wanted to try playing D&D on Roll20 or something (im a bit shy, so an in person kind of D&D thing is a bit of a stretch). Welp, here is my uh.. 3/4 orc barbarian :)

I think this is an old Citadel barbarian figure that I finished last night. He was actually a 'paint catcher' ( an old/broken figure I keep around to test paint ideas on ) for a while that I decided to actually finish off. He's a little rough, I did him in a couple hours to get myself back into painting after a few weeks of nothing. I hope you like him, he'll be serving as a thug in one of my Frostgrave warbands. I'm also not positive on the manufacturer; please let me know if I'm wrong and I'll correct the post.

This was a promo mini I got at ReaperCon 2016 from the swag bag. He's from Endless Fantasy Tactics. Had him sitting primed, ready to go for a bit now. Goal: get something painted and done without worrying too much since this week was stressful. I picked up the backdrop at the same con from Hangar 18.

This is an old grenadier figure from the 'Fantasy Warriors' range/game. I'm not entirely certain what he's called; he's not in Mirilton's catalogue, so I guess his mold didn't survive. At any rate, I found him again recently and decided to give him some paint. Tabletop work as usual; I hope you like him.

This was my second diorama that I did for ReaperCon 2016. I started toying with ideas after the Mousling Award was announced and originally pictured a few Mouslings in a cave, totally oblivious to the spider on the ceiling. This changed when I was sorting through some burl wood and came across the piece that I used. I used wolf spiders as my inspiration as they like to make their home in holes and so rather than a cave, I had the Mouslings hunting the spider in a field. It just came together perfectly and I had a blast painting them. I am so addicted to Mouslings now. "The Hunt" MSP Open Mousling Third Place

My eternal struggle with NMM. But I'm worse with metalics, so I have to improve at least one technique. I hope it looks like an armor to you. I painted this guy for friend - his PC C&C always welcome.

Since I posted some of my work where I converted certain reaper miniatures into kitsune a while ago, I figured I would post one of the newer kitsune that I've painted recently. I got this miniature from "Everyman Gaming", they have been getting a site called imagine3dminiatures.com to 3d print miniatures for them. This miniature was a bit difficult to paint because I had to clean off a lot of plastic nubs that were leftover from the 3d printing process. I kept finding more even after I primed the miniature. I also had to cut the mini off of its 30mm base and glue it to one of reaper's 1 inch scale bases. However, in the end the mini came out very well! Well, some parts came out a bit messy, like the gold on the shield, and the black wash. Luckily, in real life people won't be able to see the messy black wash that I put on the mini, lol. Painting this mini was a lot of fun, so I'm planning to paint Everyman's nine tailed kitsune miniature soon :D

My samurai Tengu Warrior. I could not figure out what was sculpted on his shoulder armor. My wife and I looked under a magnifying glass and decided "Cartoon Troll With Big Nose" and " Exploding Chicken Head On Fire" They are both different looking and neither is pictured in Reapers stock photos. Tough paint, because I could not find any painted examples online for reference. The static grass I ordered really helped break up all those browns.
