  1. Another campaign for some snazzy miniatures from prolific Kickstarterers Westfalia:- https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/westfaliaminiatures/the-kobold-dungeon This one is very short, just 5 days. I really need to start painting up some of this stuff!
  2. I've done so much painting in the last couple of years and I'm always too lazy to take pictures. Finally got around to it.... All Reaper Paints, all the time. For some reason I just love miniatures wearing packs. Awesome Snail from Monkstone Miniatures Copied this paint scheme from Kangaroorex (brilliant idea, sandy looking from the top, sky looking from the bottom). This is the Western Desert Dragon (03670) from Reaper. It looks like this is an old model and there were some problems with the mold. I had to cut the base apart to get it to lie flattish and the wings didn't fit quite right. Still a very cool model. Three demon toads from Rotten Factory. I'm really happy with how the shell turned out on this super creepy snail rider from Whilhelm Miniatures. Very cool miniature from Red Bard Games. I was really happy with the wheel tracks I made with green stuff, but I'm a little disappointed with the grass. I was aiming for patches of dead grass in the road, but I think I ended up with too much contrast between the grass colors. Next time I plan to mix the static grass to get more realistic variations. Three virus themed Beholders from Westfalia Miniatures Is that a halfling riding a giant goose? I don't know why, but it is awesome. Miniforge Miniatures Dwarf riding a Yak from Stonehaven Miniatures
  3. Another project from Westfalia Miniatures, this time it's to celebrate their 10th anniversary, and is mostly centred around some gender-swapped Lord of the Rings characters (Plus skeleton pirates). https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/westfaliaminiatures/the-dark-ten/description I get their argument that they needed to run an anniversary campaign while it's still their anniversary, but I wish they had cleared their backlog first (Although they only have two unfulfilled projects now). Nothing really jumps out at me with this one, I do like the face on old lady Gandalf though.
  4. I'm a huge fan of green sculpted miniatures because I often feel like they have more character than digital miniatures. I think Boris Woloszyn might be the best green stuff sculptor out there and I have so much of his stuff. If it has too many eyes or teeth, I'm always in. 3D printed base One of my all time favorite sculpts. I normally struggle to come up with paint schemes but the second I saw this one I knew I how I wanted to paint it. It turned out exactly how I imaged (which is also rare). I love the NMM on the helmet but the sword could definitely use some work. An easy paint job with dry brushing but I'm still very happy with the belt on the big guy The face looks a little out of focus, but I'm pretty happy with NMM and gem. Trying for the OSL effect here. It doesn't look great in person; it looks a lot better in the photo.
  5. Another little Kickstarter from Westfalia Miniatures:- https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/westfaliaminiatures/the-heroes I'm interested in the big dude, but I'm not sure I'd get around to painting him. Plus I'm a bit worried Westfalia are turning into another Mierce Miniatures, they do have a bit of a Kickstarter backlog and they're already planning the next two.
  6. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/westfaliaminiatures/rakshasa-madness Story The Death Knight Rises To me there's only one true fallen paladin who, deceived by the darkest forces, broke his oath and became a paragon of hatred and terror. But, I am into classic TTRPGs, so I wanted to rethink the concept. Boris Woloszyn, amazing sculptor that he is, took over and has transformed this idea into a remarkable sets of miniatures. The Miniatures There are only two. The Minion is 32mm scale and the Fallen Paladin measures 40mm to the top of his head. They will get cast in the crispest of resins. They come unassembled and without bases. The Paladin - doing a gentle spin PLAY The Minions The Pledge Levels There are two. Ones comes with only the Death Knight, the other comes with the Death Knight and two minions. The price for only the Death Knight is 15CA$, the set with 1 Death Knight and 2 minions is 35CA$ (less than 30US$). Backerkit will charge max. 14CA$ for postage on top of that. Stretch Goals We have one and I will unlock it if we reach 10K. Add-On's We will open a backer kit pledge manager for those that want some extra minis, and we make sure to drop all the suitable Boris stuff in there too. I want to give you a little preview what to expect in terms of add-on's. There will be this well known lot sculpted by Boris. 10C$ each. (In case you want to top up to find out what 10K will bring) And there will be some 3D printed things (20 Microns, they paint like casts). 1. This lad and his little buddy, because dwarves and gobbos. 8CA$ 2. 3 Halflings on a rampage. 2 female 1 male, because. Also - kettle jump pack. The pacK of 3 plus 2 steam bases will be 20 C$ I still have more to throw into the mix, but I need to re-watch that episode now. Thanks again!
  7. We have a new mini KS online. Monsters by Fancagne Didier and minis by Paul Hicks. Link
  8. After many sleepless nights... this is now live on Kickstarter. Thanks for having a look!
