These are a couple of the animal companion sets that I painted for one of my players (minus the spider which I have not finished yet). I didn't want to paint the cat like a plain panther and I decided to use an ocelot as inspiration. My favorite is the little wolverine guy even though the photos make the river rocks look like pastel M&M's lol. My usual background got ruined so I have to make do until I get a new one printed or buy a fancy one. The bear looks better in hand and I used blacks and browns in his fur so he doesn't look so flat as he does in the photos. I am not happy with the fake snow and how it turned out. It looked really good when I put it on but not so good once the glue dried. I guess next time I will try baking soda and see how that works out. These are for gaming though so baking soda wouldn't have been the best choice probably. Anyway, here they are! C&C welcome.

Decided that I'm gonna do some quick and easy animals. Not much progress tonight, but then it was a late start...

For Minivember I will try to do a different model each day (duplicates or similar models (from the same unit or suchlike still only count as one!). If you want to see the rest of my minivember minis, feel free to have a look at my painting blog..I won't be posting each and every one here, just the Reaper minis and maybe some that I find especially interesting. Yes, they will be speedpaints, just like all my minis. Seeing as I am starting out a week late, I have some catching up to do... Christmas is not too far off, and Critters are fun and here is Beary the Bear with Wolverinie the Wolverine (probably searching for Porcupiney the Porcupine, who is to carry the new Savior of Critterkind to be born on Christmas Eve. Unless the Mountain Lion eats them all. You know the story. Your common or garden variety Brown Bear and Wolverine. They might seem smallish, but that is just because they are in a natural/realistic scale, as opposed to the overlarge Dire variants we usually see in mini form. And anyway, what the Wolverine lacks in size, it makes up in sheer bloodymindedness! This one does not have any healing factor though. Bear and Wolverine and Magpie (or whatever is is supposed to be), from the 77216 Companion Animals set. Reaper Bones KS 2 Bonesium PVC Bear mounted on a round lipped 30mm base Wolverine and Magpie mounted on a 3x2cm oval base from Warbases

March was hard - I moved, Elderspawn had spring break and my mother-in-law stayed for 10 days. Most of what painting time I could scratch out was put into spring exchange minis. One green, and one unfinished, but I can't post pics yet. So I had to figure out what I could finish in the last three days of the month. I figured it was animals or troops. Bones 2 was short of troops so..... The Wolf, The Bear, and the Wolverine I also did a male lion, but missed the cat that was actually part of this set. The bird I skipped on purpose. Edit: added the Cat
