For your consideration I present my take on the Wizard’s Workshop. This piece was created in response to a challenge issued by a Twitch streamer that I follow. The challenge was themed Fatherly for Fathers Day 2020. I spent several hours searching for the right model until I came across this piece. Inspired by Alexi Z’s example on the Reaper website I decided to try OSL for the first time. (Using an airbrush is almost cheating lol) I wanted to find a unique base for this project and settled on the Shattered Ritual 100mm base by Secret Weapon Miniatures. In addition to the Wizard’s Workshop I also added 77318: Bookshelf, 77248: Crates (Large and Small) (2) and 77249: Large Barrel Small Barrel to the scene The Glowing effect was created by adding LIT Green Glow Pigment by Culture Hustle and mixing it with the acrylic paint and applying it with the airbrush. C&C welcome

My hommage to my favourite Disney movie growing up. I guess my fascination for wizards started here, to later mature with Gandalf and Raistlin. I realize its a busy mini diorama, I did it that way to try convey the look of Merlin's room on the movie. Yet, I think the photos are quite bad.

I needed to post one of these. It's the first of 20. And I'll have to paint 20 more. Soon they'll just be a blob of brown and red. It's a pain..

I'm starting a new thread as the CMPA has relocated again. The CMPA (Colorado Miniature Painting Alliance) meets on the second Saturday of each month from 10am - 4pm. We welcome painters of all levels of skill. Bring your paints, minis and brushes and get tips and advice from some of the best painters in the area. We are currently painting at Dark Matter Games (Suite O, 1050 S Wadsworth Blvd, Lakewood, CO 80226) at the corner of Wadsworth and Mississippi. We are back to averaging 10 - 12 painters a month so come on down and slap some paint around A word of warning! The sign for Dark Matter Games is still hanging over an empty store, don't panic! They are simply located at the other end of the building now (with no new sign yet). Find us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/ColoradoMiniaturePaintersAlliance Or http://www.cominipainters.com/
