  1. I needed some Deinonychuses for Pathfinder and lo and behold, Reaper has some! They are labeled Velociraptors, after Jurassic Park, but that's just how it goes. Velociraptor really is a cooler-sounding name. No feathers, but I wasn't ambitious enough this time to add them. One of these days I'll get far enough in front of my tabletop gaming to do something with actual blending in it, but today is not that day. These guys took about four hours each, most of which was me trying to undo an early mistake--basecoating in 09669, Reptilian Green! I hadn't used it on anything big before, and didn't realize just how much blue there was in it. It's practically a stealthy turquoise! I couldn't figure out how to blend it back into anything respectable, and it wasn't exactly what I was thinking of, so I greened over it with something more conventional (and less blue). My paint-mixing skills are really not very good, I'm sad to say, and these poor girls paid the price for it with another layer of paint. I think my brush control could also use some work, but that's what painting more minis is for, at least!
