This was very speedy paint. I wanted to go for a very rugged and dirty look.

Excited & nervous about my very first post in Show-Off (I hope I'm doing this right!) I bought several nice backdrops from the Hangar 18 vendor booth at ReaperCon and while I'm still working on proper lighting, I'm finally able to take some decent photos of my beloved Reaper minis. May I formally introduce Lord Ironraven-- a nice ol' chap who sat patiently on the "Shelf of Shame" for over two years before I made one of my first official attempts at shaded metallics and silk fabric (after several practice rounds). I attempted to paint some "freehand" jewels on the crosses on his shoulder pauldrons, and this was one of my very first attempts at black hair (now that I've had a bit more practice, I see that the highlights may be too blue). While there's an old work in progress thread (and I mean old ~July 2014) floating on the WIP forums, I'm happy to report that he's finally well-photographed and presentable for the forums.
