So, I have just finished with the prep for Mr. Dodgeson from the Infamy Collectables KS. I loved the vibe from him. He's my first 54mm model...so please, make comments! I'd love constructive criticism, as always. He's also my first resin piece, and I haven't primed him yet because I don't know whether or not I should. Just finished the base, so I'm going to let that harden and dry before I get started with the painting.
"The new Jarl sat on his fathers chair. Three months ago; it had been feasting, drinking, wenching, battles to partake in, the clash of weapons and war. Now since the old Jarls passing it was endless council meetings, diplomacy, and boredom. Oh to be guilty, and alive once more !!!" This is an Andrea 54 mm metal miniature. I was given this as a gift, and the moment I held it in my hands I went nuts with anticipation. I have been working on this for 23 days. The detail is incredible, the whole sculpt is a wonderful challenge. I have adored every moment working on this. While I still maintain my preference for 25 mm pieces, I won't shy away from another 54 mm piece. Amazing what it feels like to have space for creativity. As always; your C/C are welcomed, and sought after. Leave me some feedback; please. Here is my interpretation of the Norse Lord. I have been cleaning and filing this Miniature since Sunday morning. This was a gift from my best friend for co-celebrating his wedding. Knocked me out of the park when I opened it. While they are away on their Honeymoon, I have the pleasure of putting this incredible sculpt together. Mold lines on base have been driving me up the wall. So I now have gotten my first 54 mm challenge. Quite an interesting piece of work. I took some photos as I have started his assembly. Feels good to have a WIP again. Here is what I am working with, oh.. small bag still holds helmet, arms and head. The helmet (much to my relief) does NOT have horns. That does a Nordmans heart good. Jay.
First I want to thank MamaGeek, Pingo and Leader of the Rats that helped me with the gold NMM in my WIP thread: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/61420-need-help-with-spyglass-anastasia/ This is 54 mm Anastasia from Spyglass/Eolith, a really cool figure, hopefully it will still be available even if Spyglass Miniatures and Eolith Miniatures are no more. I thought this would be a great mini to practice Gold NMM on. I don't think its 100% yet, but I am happy with how she turned out.
