  1. Howdy, Tried the Dark elf Skin triad... Kev! EDIT: From day 10, not day 9 as originally posted
  2. So I needed a break from all the Bones 4 minis. And dug into the Bones 3 stash for variations sake. I found one of my old modules -The Village of Hommlet, and spent some time reading. Ah, The Moathouse! Brings back memories! And I got inspired to do the Bandits from the Bones 3 Stoneskull expansion, as they were similar in style to the ones I recently painted. And to flesh out the band, I added a couple of other Bones 3 minis that were in the same drawer, and that I thought might fit in a band of robbers. One quick paint job later: 77509 Bandit Enforcer. I gave him a Homer hairdo. Just add the bones 4 ones to this lot, and there we have a goodly group of bandits. Or a unit of irregulars / rabble or whatnot in some wargame or other.

  6. Howdy, First up, a Bones Bandit... Kev! EDIT: Day 10, not day 8 as originally posted
  7. I’m still struggling with nmm but as the community knows, it’s pretty difficult. Anyway I’m generally happy with this figure. If you have tips on nmm that worked for you, please share.
  8. I forgot what he was actually called and Im not really into looking it up. This is more of just a quick and dirty.
  9. Sandy base for that guy
  10. Howdy, Apparently, Day 10 was very productive... Kev!
  11. Am getting into painting Reaper Bones. After washing them in soap and water I worked up from washes with Army Painter inks. Then used base coats over that and further washes. I normally use "strong tone" but like to mix it up. C and c welcome.
  12. I thought he was wearing a long sleeve cloth shirt so I kept his arms black. But I saw someone else who had his arms painted with a flesh color. Oh well. I watched some tutorials on different techniques and this is the result. I really enjoyed painting him and will be doing many more.
  13. Hello all! After getting the Icestorm set all squared away I did end up filling out my roster to a full ITS capable army for Infinity, and now I need to paint them to completion so I can play! I'm starting with the Nomads first, mainly since one of the models I'm using to fill out the army is an infinity figure I've owned since before the current edition. So here's the gang all together, and from left to right we have: Tomcat Engineer, Zondcat, Tomcat with DEP, Warcor, Reverend Custodier, Lunokhod Sputnik Remote, 2 CrazyKoalas, and a Bandit Hacker. And speaking of the first Infinity figure, that would be the reverend Custodier. Her priming job is the worst I've ever done, and I cleaned it up, so how see how painting her goes, but she's all base coated and first in line.
  14. Quick paint job on Callie the rogue in bones. I painted her with the skin tone I have been using for my half-orcs. I figure she will see game time as a npc bandit most of the time.
  15. I'd finished painting this fellow quite a while ago, but I finally did something with his base. He'll probably get some snow on it as well at some point as I'm intending to use him as a Frostgrave thug, but I'll wait until I've got a few to do and mix up a big batch of snow. I think the photos may have ended up a tad too bright, as some of the shadows don't seem as deep. Still, better than too dark. I was trying to make sure that my black was reading as black and not grey here, so let me know how you think I went with that (or anything else you'd like to comment on).
  16. Nothing special here, just a quick tabletop paintjob of Mason Thornwarden in Bones: Edit: Ignore the giant pics here, if I delete them in this post they disappear from the other post :-p
  17. I fell in love with this guy, Tre Manor's Dirk the Damned, immediately upon seeing the sculpt. His swagger is undeniable. Again, was happy with the rope on him. Also his clay jug, which hopefully looks clay. I'unno. This guy was in the start of my first batch of flesh-tones on a person-person. I really liked the results of mixing my own. Don't think I'll want to go back. Thanks for looking. Comments and suggestions and so on welcome.
  18. Next up another half-orc, and purposefully so this time. Derek the Dim, from Tre Manor's Red Box Games. He was an accidental acquisition, sent by mistake. Tre was kind enough to let me keep him. He wasn't on my radar at all during the Kickstarter, but I fell in love a little, honestly, when I saw him in person. More of my home-brewed orc-ish skin tone on this, though I left him unwashed (heh). Only real thing with which I managed to tickle myself on this one was the rope (him and on Dirk, soon to be posted, both). Don't think it shows in the crappy pictures well, but it actually turned out great on these guys. Thanks for looking. Feel free to comment and critique and what's it alls it.
  19. Here's another one that I finished off last week. My first attempt at freehand shield work. It's a bit crappy but it will do!
