  1. so.... The painting funk has lasted for 4 months, and I need to get my cranium out of my anal orifice and start painting again.... Posted Thursday at 09:46 PM So.... While on the hangouts with some folks that play 40K, we have been talking about stuff, and I went to look for a figure that I knew I had, and didn't want, that @Chaoswolf thought was cool, and found the following: Now this is the basis for my mechanical Obliterators that I painted way back in 2003? and broug
  2. Inspired by my acquisition of the new easy-build Blightlord kit and wanting to field some different formations for 40k, I built up a few extra Blightlord Terminators and painted them all up! Here comes Fat Voldemort and the Pants-Poopin' Crew. "Smile, lads!" The whole crew. Fat Voldemort himself. He's just so happy! The Spewer-Crewer: The Reaper Autocannon. The Flail of Corruption: The only guy actually equipped with a Combi-Plasma, which they'll probably all be using: Bone-Guy: Tentacool:
  3. The most recent project has been a return to working on my Nurgle forces for 40k. I'd been finishing up some Plague Zombies I had started before 8th even hit...I'll have more of these guys in the army than the actual Poxwalkers: They were a bit cut out, but you can see the also in progress vehicles in the background. From some fun sales events, I have the bits for so so many Mantic Zombies sitting around, and plan on diversifying the Pox horde to represent most of the 40k forces post-life. Distraction, however, arrived in the form of Marine reinforcement! I love the fact that th
  4. Another batch of rotters, fresh off the assembly line! The forces of the Brothers of Rust get more...rank! (Badum tish) Converted Biologus Putrifiers: Also converted, a set of Foul Blightspawn: Icon Bearers: Blight Launchers:
  5. Let's get Nurgly, Nurgly! Here's the latest reinforcements for the Brotherhood of Rust, devout followers of Grandfather Nurgle. The (un)Holy Accountant, the Tallyman! "This my Power Abacus!" Those dread bodyguards, high in price in both points and dollars, the Deathshroud Terminators! The rustiest of them all, the Blightlord Terminators: The grunts of any Death Guard force, the ever-versatile and never dying Plague Marines!
  6. After some time, I finally wrapped up my two sets of Death Guard from the new Warhammer 40,000 starter set, "Dark Imperium". The entire second set is converted, I'm not a fan of clones in my armies. The rotting masses: The Lord of Contagion, no real work done to him other than the paint: Rotbringer Goth'ma, my count-as Typhus, built from the Lord of Contagion: The Malignant Plaguecaster, another standard build: And an Icon Bearer, converted from the Plaguecaster: The Putrid Blightbringer:
  7. To add to the number of projects I'm falling behind on, I picked up the new 40k boxed set, "Dark Imperium": I'm really liking what I've seen for the new 40k, and although I haven't gotten a real game in in a long time, I've played Nurgle Chaos Space Marines for a long time. It's really cool to seem Marines the size they're supposed to be. I skipped over assembly photos, and went straight to the drybrushed armor. I think there's some shoulders and skin done in this photo, too: I haven't even primed the Poxwalkers yet. I already have a ton of modern/sci-fi zombie types, and while
  8. This is a 10 man squad of Black Legion Chaos Marines made by Games Workshop. I actually started painting them a few years ago, when I still played Warhammer 40k. I haven't played in a couple of editions now, but these guys were begging to get finished up. I chose to do so as part of Inarah's paint binge this weekend. My painting ability has increased since I started these guys; stripping them to completely start over was a consideration, but in the end I just chose to push on and finish them up, trying to fix things along the way. I'm fairly happy with how they turned out; I still have a f
  9. Here's a batch of heavy hitters I've done up for an upcoming Warhammer 40k: Kill Team campaign. The Obliterators and Terminator are a mixture of GW parts, and the scatter terrain is Deadzone and the Starship Engine from Reaper Bones.
  10. COMMISSION WORK FOR CHRISTMAS 2013 (WARHAMMER 40K = CHAOS SPACE MARINE UNIT = 15 FIGURES)... This is the completed (15 figure) Chaos Space Marine unit that I was commissioned to paint and complete by Nov. 21, 2013...This completes the/this two part posting of this (Sci-fi) commission work project...The client requested that each figure be finished/sealed in a protective high gloss finish...Posted are; PHOTO 1...Chaos Space Marines (1-5)... PHOTO 2...Chaos Space Marines (6-10)... PHOTO 3...Chaos Space Marines = Demonic Mutants (5 figure unit)... PHOTOS 4-13...Closeup individu
