  1. Part 1 of the Serpent’s Skull Adventure Path. By James Jacobs, (c) 2010. Paizo Publishing. Using the Pathfinder Rules from the Pathfinder Core Rulebook Sixth Printing, 2013 and copyright 2009 and on Also uses Open Game License Content 1.0a Copyright 2000 Wizards of the Coast
  2. Copyright 2012 Paizo Publishing. Using the Pathfinder Rules from the Pathfinder Core Rulebook Sixth Printing, 2013 and copyright 2009 and on Also uses Open Game License Content 1.0a Copyright 2000 Wizards of the Coast You can decide if you know each other before the start of the adventure, or are all randomly passing through this small rural town on your way to or from Korvosa. You have heard rumor that a carnival passes through this town, and have come to investigate and have some fun. As you mill about the carnival grounds, you can sample delicious food from vendors, view exotic sights or shows, and participate in games of skill and chance. Let me know what types of things you are interested in, and if/how you know each other.
  3. Hi people. Im going to start another PBP. So far I have interest from @ShadowRaven, @dwarvenranger, @Dilvish the Deliverer, and @Kangaroorex. We’re going to start the Serpent’s Skull adventure path. Pathfinder 1e. All books are in play, but I reserve the right to veto something if it seems too gross/bloated. Please utilize the Serpent’s Skull Players Guide from the Paizo website. Abilities: 4d6, reroll all 1’s, drop lowest score, yielding ranges from 2-18 pre mods. Avg. Starting gold. We’ll follow the AP leveling track when possible. We’ll have individual initiative. I hope to get this started soon, so please post those characters. -edits- House Rules 1. HP beyond first level. Roll the hit die. If the roll is less than”avg” then take avg instead. Example: Wizard d6. Rolls a 1. Gets 4hp instead, before Con mod. 2. Acrobatics can be used to avoid AOO when standing from prone. 3. If someone is not responding and action is waiting for them, I’ll send a pm after 24 hours. If no response 24 hours later, I’ll take over that character to get action rolling again.
  4. Well, while I let Devona dry, I’ll switch gears to a mini off the shelf of waiting... I started Kagunk, Ofre Chieftain a year or two ago. The plan is for an ice ogre, with blue-gray skin.
  5. Hi everyone. In light of additional free time, I'd like to start another PBP. Maybe I'll be able to get prior ones going again, if people are interested. We'll be doing Murder's Mark. A Pathfinder Module for four 1st level characters. From www.paizo.com An urban mystery adventure for 1st-level characters. Everyone in the fishing town of Ilsurian is excited when the legendary Umbra Carnival rolls into town—even if the show is run by members of the much-maligned Varisian ethnic group. With strange and exotic beasts, scandalous performances, games of chance, and all the other fun of a traveling fair, who could resist such an opportunity for entertainment? Unfortunately for both the town and the circus, however, entertainment isn’t the only opportunity the carnival presents. Core Rulebook, Advanced Player's Guide, Advanced Race Guide are OK. Character Generation: Attributes: 4d6, reroll all 1's, drop lowest die. This will yield attribute rolls of 6-18. Average Starting Gold for class. Alignments: LG, NG, CG, LN, TN. The hope would be that once we finish this one, we'll be able to start another with the same characters...
  6. Since I’m wrapping up Deladrin, here is the next in the queue. Devona, Female Wizard. She’s a curious wizard with plate mail leggings, a chain mail skirt, and a staff that looks more like a spear. Also, is her torso adorned with a breastplate? Or is it part of her dress? And what’s up with the scalloped things on her back? Not sure what I’m going to do with her. I hope you enjoy the process of discovery tagging along with me. The one thing I have decided is to try to give her more of an East Indian skin tone.
  7. Here is the next project for “Try to paint all the things!” I plan to paint her as a very light skinned elf. I might try an Autumnal color scheme.
  8. I took these pictures during the WIP phase of my gift for Fealron.
  9. This was one of two figures I painted for @Fealron for the Secret Sophie this year. His ideas were Metal, minimal basing for gaming use, a woodland creature, usually considered good but turned to evil, and a minion of a necromancer. After thinking a while, I decided I could knock out all his ideas with some evil unicorns. Here is the second. Maybe once the prior unicorn charmed by a necromancer does, he raised it as a skeleton, and put another minion on top. Here are the WIP shots: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/90618-02631-skeletal-cavalry-project-2-of-2-for-fealron/ I magnetized the mount and rider. I had a lot of fun with these, and definitely bittersweet to part with them! Thanks for looking. C&C Welcome
  10. Here is the first. I envisioned a unicorn charmed by a necromancer that tramples a virgin, staining it black. That taint would spread from the hooves, causing a grayscale, with only a few remnants of white/color where the corruption is still incomplete. Here are the WIP shots: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/90564-starmane-unicorn-02151-project-1-of-2-for-fealron/ I’ll post the fiction a little later when I’m at my desktop. C&C Welcome.
  11. Last new show off from me for a while. I finished him a while back. His WIP is here. https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/87019-darcstaar-vs-bones-1-ep-4-kieran-tallowmire-wizard/&tab=comments#comment-1844494 I initially wanted to paint orange. That got me thinking of a sunset color scale. It came out OK, but the process was harder than I thought it would be. Also, I’m trying to go through old Bones faster, but this was taking too long! A shot of his Fireball scroll. I went with burnt out candles to avoid needing to worry about OSL. I tried to pattern the feather as an owl feather. Hope you like it! C&C welcome.
  12. Another mini which has been done for a while: a raptor. This was meant for a module that uses a raptor hatchling as an animal companion for a kobold Ranger. Here is a link to the WIP. https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/87634-14475-warlord-raptor-reptus/&tab=comments#comment-1856740 C&C welcome.
  13. My second project for Fealron marked off a few firsts: First magnetization, first mounted cavalry, first Pugh sculpt. Here you can see the 2mm magnets inserted strategically. This is how he sits mounted. But, I wanted to keep it removable, thus the magnets. I confirmed it would stay in place upside-down! A sharpened paper clip acting as the scaffold for the horn. I also sharpened the lance tip. It comes cylindrical out of the blister. Green putty to make the horn and cover/reinforce the magnets. White brush on primer, Black on the base. I tried a little experiment with the base coat to give the bone a more orange look: 1:1 Ruddy Flesh:Desert Stone. It may become my go-to for bone work.
  14. Here is my Callie. I painted her as a second WIP for my BONES 1 attempts. I really like the sculpt. I painted her as a half-orc or orc. She has some freckles, nice green gems, and some ivy freehand on the cloak. Here is a link to the WIP. https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/86283-darcstaar-vs-bones-1-ep-2-callie/ Enjoy. C&C Welcome.
  15. These were the third installment of my Bones 1 WIPs. Which is metal? Which is BONES? You'll have to check out the WIP to decide! https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/86504-darcstaar-vs-bones-1-ep-3-oxidation-beast/&tab=comments#comment-1834708 Hope you enjoy, and I hope it helps people see that there isn't always a loss of detail between BONES and Pewter. C&C Welcome.
  16. This is my most ambitious attempt to date. A mini-campaign I’m running some people through calls for many kobolds of varying colors and classes. I had 12 Kobolds from Bones I, the 4 pack in metal that those were based off of (03064), the metal Leader and Sorcerer (03024), the 12 awesome new kobolds from Bones 4, and a 7 pack (I may have gotten a freebie, I thought I bought a six pack) of kobolds from the Ral Partha TSR Official D&D 2nd Edition line, stamped 1989. That’s a whopping 37 figures. I want to paint tribes from all 5 chromatic factions, and want to have as few duplicate poses per faction possible. The Ral Partha kobolds have a more simian or canine face compared to the more reptilian face of the Reaper models, but I’m still going to fold those into each faction. The Adventure calls out a Cleric (Red) a Ranger, (Green) and a Sorcerer (Green). Those are the only ones with specific art, and I have models representative of each present without need for modification. Also, I am not planning to add to the bases at all. And I want to finish all of this in about a month (unlikely)! Wish me luck!
  17. I painted this up quickly several months back, to swell the ranks of water elementals. It was translucent blue, but I painted it opaque. I feel I have more control that way, and don't have the spiffy inks everyone says work so well on the translucent BONES minis. C&C Welcome.
  18. I painted this large water elemental several months back to fill a gap in my water elemental supply. It started out translucent blue, but I painted it opaque. I haven't tried inking the transulcents like others have, I lack the inks, and feel I get good control with opaques. I wanted a simple beach sand looking base, to suggest he has washed up on the beach to harass sunbathers. C&C Welcome.
  19. Here are another pair of Giant Centipedes. I have 6 total of these, and these are the 4th and 5th to receive paint. Simple, bright green with some red eyes and antennae for contrast. C&C welcome.
  20. Last new post for the day. Here is another BONES Tick. I have 2 more and a queen. This is the 4th painted one, and I painted it while I painted the centipedes. I wanted some bright colors and bright markings. C&C Welcome.
  21. This is an animal companion to a kobold Ranger in a module. The character art has it light green with dark green stripes. A little cliche, but I don’t care. There are two arm choices. I went with the ones making it look like he was grabbing something. Got him ready with white primer.
  22. Here's my final batch of new painted figures. Bones Giant Centipedes. A staple encounter for low-level adventurers. Still inspired by Reign of Winter. Sadly, Mr. Red got into the snow of Mr. Blue's base! Enjoy. C&C Welcome.
  23. This figure is next on the agenda. I cleaned up mold lines, cut off the “base” part of his integral base, washed him and mounted him on a Reaper 1 inch base.
  24. My 5 1/2 yo son is super into Batman. I had set up a Pathfinder game for the grownups, but only filled 2/4 seats. My son has shown a little and growing interest in tabletop gaming. So I made some stats for Batman as a Pathfinder character and used his LEGO Batman on the battle grid. Here are how it came out: attributes were rolled. Race Human Class Ranger (Urban) lvl 1 Str 16 Dex 19 (+2 human) Con 14 Int 13 Wis 14 Cha 8 Favored Class Ranger +1 HP Trait: Rich Parents Trait: Deft Dodger (+1 Reflex) Favored Enemy Humanoid (human) Feat - Improved Unarmed Strike Feat Human - Exotic Weapon Prof - Shuriken Skills - don’t remember exactly, sheet isn’t in front of me: Acrobatics, Craft (alchemy), Disable Device, knowledge (local), perception, Survival, Stealth Gear- I took some liberties here for flavor: Mwk Studded Leather, Batarangs(shuriken shaped like a bat available in a lethal or non lethal variety), smoke bombs (combine thunderstone and smoke stick in one thrown item same price as both combined), Mwk thieves tools, sap, spiked gauntlets x 2 (his sharp things sticking out of his arms), Grapnel: (Light Crossbow + 50ft silk rope + Mwk grappling hook + 100gp to account for the “gnomish winch”) I would have loved to make it a hand crossbow, but didn’t want to waste two feats on exotics. I just tacked on cost to the various gear to use up the gold from rich parents and still leave him with a good kit. He made level two and I chose an alt. Option for weapon style: thrown weapon. That gave him bonus feat of Precise Shot without needing Point Blank Shot, but I plan on adding it later. Let me know what you think. My son didn’t have the attention span to stay at the table for long: his cousins were in the pool, so he ended up there. My friend always plays the Cleric, but he ran Batman as a second character and had a blast with it.
  25. Since Callie is coming to a close, I have been preparing the Oxidation Beast. I have one in metal also, so I will paint both together. I had some 40mm hollow, round lipped bases that seem like a good fit. I used some styrene model train cobblestone for one, and sculpted dressed stone tiles for the other. I plan for one to use the 5th Edition Monster Manual color scheme (Bones) And the metal one to follow the Pathfinder Bestiary 1 color scheme. It has a red with black stipple color scheme.
