  1. Thanks to this thread I finally figured out how to assemble this mini. If you are at all hesitant, please look at it, especially the excellent step by step on page 2 (h/t @Mad Jack). Things have been scrubbed, and I have some idea of the color scheme. Dusky skin triad and maroon red/cinnamon red for the skin, and hexed lichen/witchcraft purple/warlord purple for the tabard. Not sure about the metal yet.
  2. I got two Efreetis in my recent Reaper order. Out of the two one had far more gap lines than the other, so I opened the one that would take less effort to work on first since it's been awhile since I have properly tinkered with a mini. First thing's first, gap filling! This model had quite a lot of mold lines too, I dealt with most of them with an xacto knife and a file. The Bones Black material is brittle enough to handle a file if you're careful unlike the white Bones counterpart. While priming I noticed that part of one of her horns was missing, must h
  3. Ziba got started some time ago now as an excuse to try out the scale 75 fantasy and games copper nmm set that I had purchased and not really used. TBH I like their original line of paints better and I'm not sure I'll buy more of the F&G line. So after the copper, she got some red skin, firey hair, and then proceeded to sit until I decided to finish her up this weekend. I tried something I don't usually do for the sword hilts, and am not excited by how it turned out, but she is ready for the hypothetical tabletop none the less.
  4. So I've been painting a lot of character models and low level monsters lately, so I decided to tackle a large monster. I pulled out the bag with Bones manticore, chimera and sphinx and lost my mind, deciding to paint all three. Then I acquired the Bones Black efreeti and could not resist painting her as well. First up the chimera 77257. I should have taken another photo of the front of the model from a higher angle so that you could see the eyes of the dragon head but I was too lazy. I did not notice the blob of white paint until I uploaded the file. Isn't
  5. Finally got around to painting this model. One of my favorite sculpts. Lot of fun to paint. I did the best I could with the pics, colors are always so much more vibrant in person. Hope you Enjoy
  6. A duo of Genies, "Efreeti Emir" and "Naseer, Genie of Hakir":
  7. I wanted to do more work on other figures tonight, but I am waiting for some paint to arrive.... I looked at my 20 primed figures, trying to think which ones I had paint to work on, and he kind of bellowed at me to be painted! So working with my new style of working from the inside out, his skin got done tonight. I used the Scale 75 Blood and Fire set, working from dark to light, not using the orange or yellow on the skin. The yellow got used for his scalera, and the inside of his mouth. I didn't think red would work well here, and I thought that if it matched his eyes, it might be h
  8. Reaper's Efreeti Emir, intended for a nordic diorama but I ran out of time. I mocked up a test base, the woodland scenic 'realistic water' in the melted spots doesn't show very well. Hope you enjoy him, took me over five weeks! By far the most time I've ever sunk into a mini, I lost track of the hours a while ago. WIP starts here
