    BONES 77127 Vermin:Beetles

Hi everyone. First BONES painted from Kickstarter. Just too busy with life/work to paint much. Trying to go through the Role Playing staples. So, here are some vermin. The module I have asks for giant centipedes, but I don't have any of those. Beetles will have to suffice. First posting ever, which also means first pictures ever. I used a blue leather book, which you can see it's grain. If I end up making a habit of posting, I'll try to get some blue or gray felt or something. Still find myself impatient with layer after layer and glazing. Trying to slow down and build up more contrast, but definitely learning the happy medium for tabletop pieces. I really like how the eyes came out of the Red Stag Beetles. Black is giving me a problem, so Ub3r already turned me on to Massive Voodoo black tutorial. Will try that for sure in the future. Thanks for your comments. -Darcstaar
