  1. Slightly delayed to finish, and even more delayed to post to the forums, are my usual themed miniatures from November: Dwarves! Beardy folk seem most appropriate for No-Shave November. Redcaps pretending to be Dwarves from Massive Darkness A Duergar Trapper from Stonehaven Miniatures The Dwarf King from the small release "The Dwarf King's Court, Revisited" by Colin Dixon Miniatures A Warhammer Dwarf Miner where I think I remembered how flames work: This was going to be my PC for Rise of the Runelords, but the game ended before I ever painted him. Grimlok Rockho
  2. First minis for "Rangers of Shadow Deep" : Team 1 : Ranger + falcon Team 2 : Ranger + hound Bestiary : 4 zombies, 2 giant rats, 10 giant spiders Tokens : 10 cocoons (more pics on my blog)
  3. Another compilation thread of things from Reaper Miniatures A miniature that actually went OoP with the P-65 line, a Frost Giant acquired from one of the forum Box of Goodwill rounds: Dreadmere Mayor: Foo Dog: Minotaur(ess): "And there's a creepy doll, that always follows you..." Chronoscopers:
  4. Even though the Isle of Dread game I had been running died a premature death this summer, it's never too early to paint minis for its return, right? The group: Jaatu, a Reaper Miniatures piece I've had in progress since release in 2003, apparetnly. It's good to finally wrap up a mini after 13 years... A Tribal Champion (possibly from Chronopia, I got him with a broken weapon from a trade) And a group of Menehune, from Paymaster Games "Going Native" series: I tried to give the Menehune some traditional tattoos, then kind of gave up.
  5. Here's another set intended for Frostgrave: Ghost Archipelago. I tried to do up the Bloodstone Gnomes as Tribals, as one of the Tribal traits is Pygmy and their armor seemed that fantasy MesoAmericana
  6. Finishing up the last few, here's miniatures that didn't belong with the others. Cyclops Spearmaiden from Massive Darkness: Totally a Redcap and not a dwarf as labelled, from Massive Darkness: "Sister Lana, Healer" from Reaper Miniatures: An unknown Gladiatrix, possibly West Wind, acquired during the travels of the Reaper Box of Goodwill:
  7. Latest in my collection of "Finish stuff you just had details left on" come Bufo the Frogman and Torlan the Gatorfolk from Reaper Miniatures. I felt they needed to be painted as a pair as Mr. Wiebe said he designed them as a pair to fill in the request for Dreadmere's more unusual inhabitants.
  8. "All fear Mumlak, Living God-Chief of the Erithereans!" A steal at $24.99 from Reaper for the size this guy came out at:
  9. For my Legions of the Dead full painted army for Saga : Age of Magic : - a lieutenant (unknown origin, but one of the ugliest miniature I ever painted ) - 2 wizards (Ral Partha) - 10 (cross)bowmen (Ral Partha, Reaper, GW conversion)
  10. On my quest for a Legions of the Dead full painted army for Saga : Age of Magic, I just finished : - a Behemoth (Colossal Skeleton from Reaper) - 2 flying creatures (skeleton demon from Ral Partha) - 2 quadrupede creatures (Skeletal War Dog and Handler from Ral Partha with Giant Skeleton Rats from Mantic) Next... Bowmen ?
  11. Every now and then I've seen people start up a WIP thread that's more or less along the lines of "clean the shelf of (blank)". For me, it's of hopes and dreams, of projects started, but not quite realized, finished, or... Even painted. This isn't necessarily going to be one of those more serious minivember, one mini a day, or even a burn towards the finish line to actually "complete" the one a week RPChallenge, uh, challenge. That and while I'd love to do minivember or even 99 minis in 99 days both of those seem a tad too... Intense for me. Especially with how often I get distracted from
  12. Thanks to a friend's encouragement I finished my Orctober project just in time. It may only be one lonely Shaman but he still counts! Technically also my first Bones V miniature painted since he was one of the monthly preview promos.
  13. I figured it was time to work on some Elves. They're definitely the smallest part of my painted collection. The first batch is all from Reaper Miniatures. These are the metal ones: The Drow who snuck in (from the box of Goodwill, no less) More from Reaper, but this time in Bones:
  14. Here's some work done on old Tobias here. :) I had one idea in my head, and started painting and it went a completely different direction. Once I get all the base coats on him I'll have to go back and give him some dimension. Feedback is always welcomed. Thanks for taking a look!
  15. This is the Tiefling Sorcerer for a D&D campaign starting near me. I created a backstory as well if you have interest in reading it. I posted the backstory on the Works in Progress forum too as I was painting him. Anyways, I hope you like him (and the backstory!).
  16. Next up to bat, a selection of the denizens of Dreadmere, from Reaper Miniatures: Bones 4
  17. Another themed set, Knights from Bones 4. Mrs. Forscale is one of my favorites from the Core set.
  18. Here's the Clan of the Black Bear from Reaper Miniatures: Bones 4. The only reason the Clubber is solo is I had lost him and photographed him later on.
  19. Painted these up over the weekend. They're a little shiny from the satin varnish, but I still love 'em. Had a blast painting them. Especially the skin, from Bones Dungeon Dwellers Monsters set.
  20. Hi all, I just jumped in yesterday for leaving a couple of comments and I recognized that I don`t know anybody from the recent active members here and so I guess it is best to introduce myself again. My artist name is Vhaidra, I`m female and I`m 48 years old. I`m painting miniatures since 2004 and I was very active as a miniature painter until 2012. I used to work as a professionally painter for a couple of years and made commissioned work for Dark Sword Miniatures, Ian Newbold and Assassin Miniatures as well as for private customers. I stopped this completely up from 20
  21. Next up, a thundering of Giants from Reaper Miniatures Bones 4. I went for 3 different skin tones this time.
  22. Up on the place recently were a few of those dungeon-dwelling jerks, Goblins! Rebel Minis finally won me over with their Anniversary Goblin Jester mini: The rest of the Rebel crew: They're also joined by a handful of Goblins from Bones 4:
  23. The forest became full of a terrible din; the trees began to groan, the branches creaked as if a violent storm were coming, and the old witch Baba Yaga came crashing through the undergrowth in her great iron mortar. With a pestle in her right hand she urged the mortar along, while her left hand was busy sweeping away the trail behind her with a broomstick. A host of spirits came in her wake, sending up a terrible howling and screeching until she approached the gates, where they left her and flew silently back into the forest. She rode right up to the gates in the mortar
  24. This was one of the first add-ons from the Kickstarter that was a must for me. Monster Undead are always fun.
