  1. I'm writing/adapting a raygun skirmish game with the intent to host it at Reapercon 2015. Here's the intro: If you are interested in playtesting it, you can find the document folder at https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6HUGmJgXqKHS1RIU0hZMHdJWE0 I would love to have your actual results-of-play feedback on this, posted here or sent to me privately. I want this to be as good as it can be by the time the con rolls around. Feel free to stat up any appropriate Reaper figures and post the stats here - I hope to compose a roster as well. Make up new skills, new weapons, whatever
  2. Since all I will be doing is coming out tomorrow to enjoy the auction and say goodbye for now I wanted to post my thoughts on everything I did. THE CLASSES: Beginner Blending with Brice Cocanour This class was fun and a bit much for me since all I have done is basecoat, wash, drybrush. It did give me some great info to bring home and practice with on my many Bones until I get it figured out. Create Your Own Scenic Base: Fantasy/Horror with Bob Ridolfi I have never based or built any kind of diorama so going into this class I was very green. I got to do some basics with a small hor

    Home Safe

Figured after ShadowRaven's adventures last year it would be a good idea to post. If you were traveling or know of forumites who made it home in one piece feel free to post. I got home without incident 45 minutes ago.
  4. Back home from another year. Thanks to everyone who made it fun.
  5. So neat byproduct of entering your minis into the ReaperCon Master Series Paint Contest is that they take really nice photos of your minis. Did these a few years ago but I've never entered before and they were one of the few painted pieces I inadvertently brought to the con. Several of the other forumites strong armed me into entering and I'm glad they did. These guys did suffer from the "Hey this is Gloss sealer, not Matte!" but other than that I'm still pretty proud of them.

    Dice Rehoming

FREE TO A GOOD HOME! So I have a bit of a problem, and I'm hoping my friends at the con can help me take care of the problem. I love to buy the Chessex pound-o-dice. I love them so much I have several pounds of dice that never get used. Way back some forumites mentioned that they did not realize dice collecting is a thing so I thought I could share the wealth. If your collection is lacking, If you are new to all this, If you just want to say "I got a die from Ludo" (Sorry no ribbon for that this year.) Come find me at the con. I'm pretty easy to find, 6'2" with a black bowler ha
  7. So... I've finally gotten started on the ReaperCon theme entry for 2015. This is where we are and well... It's a mess. LOL! I've got quite a bit of work to do, not including painting. This project is largely experimental and we'll have to see where it goes.... Hmmm....
  8. With Reaper in the middle of fulfillment I figured I would start announcing confirmed manufacturer awards here rather than waiting for Bryan to have time to update the website. This is only for the 2015 painting competition. I'll update this first post as I confirm additional manufacturers and hopefully give attendees plenty of time to get some excellent entries entered. Of course there are three Sophie Trophies (gold, silver & bronze) available for the best Reaper miniatures in three of the categories: Painter, Open and Diorama/Vignette. Currently, there are no plans to add Sophie Trophie
  9. Hello all! This is your official update: the dates on the ReaperCon "Save The Date" Magnet are INCORRECT. The dates for ReaperCon 2015 will be: THURSDAY APRIL 30 - SUNDAY MAY 3rd, 2015. We had a bit of a hotel mix-up and they were unable to give us the consecutive days we needed, so we had to switch. The dates listed above have been reserved for us by the Hilton, so we should be good to go. We know it's a whole year away, but we wanted to update you all super-early, so you have time to plan!
  10. I received a PM some time ago about partnered entries being allowed in the competition. My gut reaction was no, but I indicated that I would discuss it with the Head Judge (Clever Crow) and I finally got around to that today. We want to be inclusive of different ways to participate in the competition so we are going to allow partnered entries starting with the 2015 competition. 1) All participants must be present when entering the competition with their mutual piece (i.e. no, "I'm going to play a game could you enter it?" shenanigans). The entry will not be accepted if all the particip
