  1. The club's next Ghost Archipelago campaign starts this coming Saturday, so I am taking advantage of the day off to make sure that I am ready. We are starting with new crews, and my new spell caster (warden) has a spell to create a little piece of blocking terrain, so I decided that I had better make a few today. I am hoping/expecting that 6 of them should be enough. The parapet is supposed to be 2" long and a half inch high, so I pulled out some 50mm cavalry bases to stack stones on. Step One: Glue on stones and wait for things to dry.

    Air dry clay Bigby's Hand

Hi everyone, just wanted to share this Bigby's Hand spell effect mini I made. It is made of Fimo air dry clay and took me about 30 minutes painting included. I was inspired by D&D Icons of the Realms Spell Effects – Arcane Fury & Divine Might miniatures and diceded to try and make one of my own :D
  3. Greetings! Presenting Reaper's February 25th Anniversary miniature - Domur, High Mage. I got sidelined by a multiple dragon project recently so I'm a little bit behind with my 25th Anniversary figures project but I'm getting back on track now. I opted out of doing OSL on the spell effect & decided on something gaseous & non photonic (at least, that's the excuse I'm sticking to! ). I wanted to have the spell effect go through a distinctive colour change so I came up with a counjouring technique to explain it; First, Domur reads from the book, this causes a white inert harmless spirit to appear from the pages of the book. Then, as the spirit wafts closer to the magic crystal in Domur's staff, it takes in it's massive power (& colour) & becomes weaponised......... I used metallic blue paint to highlight the inner lining of the cape for an extra touch of wizardly oppulence. Finally, I've managed to sneak my favourite purple into the book cover - I'll be "shoehorning" this colour into all my Reaper 25th anniversary minis as a form of unification. 2 Down, 10 to go....... Thanks for looking!
  4. Hello! I picked up the Bones version of Corim the Kestrel, Gnome Sorcerer at Origins, and his nose is flattened compared to photos of the metal version. I have found one photo of another Corim and it looks like his nose is squashed in that one, too. I'm assuming this is a casting flaw, and not an intentional feature. Do all of the Bones version of Corim have a squashed shnozz? I know the days of gnomes with enormous noses are well past, but poor Corim should have at least some nose to speak of.

    Evil Priest

In the process of painting up Darkrasp as a priest of Auril for a tabletop game. Decided to use my uv fluro paints to add a little secret easter egg on the spell scroll. Add a little wow factor for the tabletop when DM of the game places mini down. Can whip out the UV pointer and make spell effect occur. It's the simple things that amuse.

    77367: Spell Effect: Shadow Tentacles

Not much of a paint job just graduating layers of purple and black ink. Added bases with 1 inch washers for stability since they tipped over fairly easy and they will be seeing a lot of table top play. As usual CC welcome. and darn I forgot to add tags.....is there anyway to add tags after the fact?

    02005 - Tox

I like bright colors. He was painting up as part of my dungeon crawl so the colors needed to pop against the grey of the dungeon walls. And I like bright colors.

    Walls of Lead (Reaper 65127)

These are the original lead versions of the Wall of Ice. Painted up more as walls of crystal, since I don't think they ended up looking very ice like. I am happy with the results though.

    77081: Burning Sphere

Just a touch of paint and sand for the base (25mm wood button).
