  1. Among the lovely surprises at Reapercon this year was this terrific new Bones piece: the DUMPSTER. I was delighted to see it blistered and available for sale; this is a piece the hobby has been begging for for years. While it's not the FIRST dumpster made available in 25mm - 28mm, it is unarguably the finest; other examples were either print-and-assemble cardboard, or the smaller plastic one released by WizKids for their HeroClix game (sadly, long out of production)... and the HeroClix model was considerably smaller, to the point of seeming somewhat out of scale. Reaper has corrected this issue with a beautiful and realistic Bones plastic model, in full 28mm scale, ready to enhance and complicate any tabletop game set in the modern day. It's big enough to hold several figures, and comes in three pieces, with an opening lid. Sculpted in mathematically exact right angles and stunning accuracy, it's a fine addition to any modern terrain; I look forward to freehanding graffiti on it before placing it behind my zombie apocalypse Circle K. NEXT: The amazing new Jersey Barriers!
  2. Not specific to any particular campaign or RPG - just a place for folks to share adventure seeds for urban fantasy campaigns, since it came up on another thread. [Dark] The players are hired by a necromancer to learn who murdered one of his corpses. She was engaged to be wed the day before he purchased her remains, and is not happy about being dead.... [Humorous] The Goblin bard and his band has cast Irresistible dance, and to the players' horror... it is a polka. The Auld Grump
  3. This is ending in 50 hours... Haven't seen it posted. There's a thread from 2015 for other tiles. I'm intrigued by the digital option.
  4. Alright, tonight is my first proper large game of CAV - Two buddies and I are playing tournament-style, "pick-your-force," that is to say I've built three, 6000 point forces (Adon, Templar, Malvernis) all with distinct playing styles. BUT ALSO we are fighting it out on a 6x4 sci-fi city! I haven't made any major changes since the last time I posted pics of about 1/3 of this thing, so the roads are still unmarked, but honestly I just want to get playing. Battle report to follow (probably), but pictures NOW!!!
  5. I just found a nice secondhand photography book which reminded me that if you are looking for visual references for city streets & alleys, the photography of Bob Thall is extraordinary. It's mostly black-and-white, but he examines details of the urban environment that most other photographers gloss over.
  6. These will be Spyrers in my Necromunda campaigns. :)
