  1. The forest became full of a terrible din; the trees began to groan, the branches creaked as if a violent storm were coming, and the old witch Baba Yaga came crashing through the undergrowth in her great iron mortar. With a pestle in her right hand she urged the mortar along, while her left hand was busy sweeping away the trail behind her with a broomstick. A host of spirits came in her wake, sending up a terrible howling and screeching until she approached the gates, where they left her and flew silently back into the forest. She rode right up to the gates in the mortar, all the while chanting in a blood- curdling voice: 'Little hut, little hut Turn towards me with your door Turn your back to the forest And your face to me! And the hut immediately stopped spinning, turned to face her and stood still. Edit: Forgot to mention: The 3 Baba Yagas are the Bones 4 Baba Yaga, the Village Attacks character, and from the Steve Jackson Games "Hellboy Villains" boxed set. The second Dancing Hut is one I crafted around 2014 for my "Pathfinder: Reign of Winter" game, which is a Paizo Adventure Path that is based around the Baba Yaga.
  2. Ok, just came across this bizarre trailer on Youtube of Russian Fantasy Movie produced by Disney. I think it's a real thing, at least according to this Hollywood reporter article: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/disney-russia-local-language-movies-885954 Anyway if you want to see Baba Yaga in her flying mortar, plus a great shot of her hut running, check it out...
  3. Baba Yaga Hut Company: Eastern Front Studios Painted by: ME (Iron Bristle Studios) I have more photo's on my website but I didn't want to clog up Reapers forums with them all. There is already a lot here. Finally finished this beast! What a project. I really hope my fellow Forumnite friends enjoy this. I did OSL and new shading techniques. I attempted to do better with my photographing in many ways. I even bought Hanger 18 back grounds. The big ones though... I didnt have a back drop large enough so I had to use a black sheet. Here is the WIP if you would like to see: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/73078-baba-yagas-hut-by-eastern-front-studios-picture-heavy/& ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
  4. Baba Yaga Hut by Eastern Front Studios I'm trying to get back to getting WIP out. Now that I finished my big warband and am working on another commission piece. I'll take more photo's tonight of my progress. Hope you guys like what I'm doing. 0 - This is the start of the process getting the miniature ready. I had to dremel out the bottom and the left over resin. The next step (wish I have already done) is to dremel out the whole for the magnet. 1- The Kickstarter that my customer brought me came with 10 pieces of fence. That only wanted them at a Tabletop Standard (TT) so I basically finished those already. Although I know I will come back to them at the end and put a little extra in for them. And the two Bab Yaga's; standing and action pose! LOL 2- at this point I'm applying the primary colors to the standing Baba Yaga. More picture to come. I have already got the magnets in and covered with GreenStuff and got some good freehand work on both Baba's.
  5. So, I think the new phone is already affecting the qualify of the photos, which, really shouldn't be surprising. I still need a better light source, though. Let's start off with something green...
