  2. Howdy, For International Mini Painting Month I'm doing crystal... Snort it, Kev! P.S. @Iridil, It is on a piece of scatter terrain handcrafted by my good friend Trenton Maloney!
  3. My Crystal Troll finally (almost) done. Really happy with the result. As a final touch i'm gonna try som resin water pool on the forward corner of the base. The was specially swaed off for this porpuse. Anyway hope U like GRtzz
  4. Hellborn Troll On a Plane of Volcanic Glass This brute of a troll obviously has some extraplanar blood coursing through his veins. He walks the the wasteland of his abyssal home across sheets of volcanic glass that stretch unending. Dust flows around his footsteps and he holds aloft a large shard of the glass to summon his clan with his demonic power. This Warlord miniature is pretty friggin awesome and was waiting on further inspiration to get from the shelf of shame pack in to my queue. I told him no for some time. There is quite a bit of real dust ingrained with the sand on his base
  5. I'm pretty happy with my Wall of Ice. The WIP is here. I tried doing the highlighting 2 different ways - I described it in the WIP - but I don't remember which is which anymore. I used a variety of inks - I'll have to get back about which ones exactly, I don't remember any more - to try and create some variety in the thickness of the ice, but it didn't work out so well. Edging was done with Reaper Ghost White. There's some happy accidents in there too where the brush slipped. If anyone's wondering, yes this is still see-through.
  6. Hi all, first Show-Off post here! Been painting since the first Bones Kickstarter but wasn't satisfied with the results enough for sharing until recently but now I'm diving in. I had a lot of fun painting all the Bones golems together/in succession. It really gave me a chance to differentiate the appearances I wanted as they developed. I gave myself the liberty to experiment a bit and created more than one version of some. For the ice golem I wanted to preserve as much of the translucency as possible as he's already a nice glacial blue, so I kinda went to town on the basing inste
  7. Finished this guy in November for the resolutionary challenge and am just now getting the photos up. His base I used vivo crackle paint to make a crackling earth as if he had just broken out of it. Also used some liquitex modelling paste prior to putting the crackle paint down to add a little evenness of volume to the base and give the built-up muck around his feet as if he had just stepped into some mud. Unfortunately the vivo crackle stuff can be kind of shiny, so that's my biggest complaint was even with some drybrushing and the matte spray it still has a bit of a shineness leftover. He
