So, my eldest, who had such fun making the funny and erudite "Shakespeare Summarized" videos in high school, is now in college, and while time is short, has still managed to tackle the Greek classics that she is studying. I am obviously biased, but I think they are fun and educational. , is the longest, at 11 minutes, and is completely hand-drawn owing to there being no suitable available movie footage. *** The "Shakespeare Summarized" series remains on Youtube to educate and amuse.
  2. Ok, there are a lot of people out there with some interesting handles on this forum, so I was wondering about the origins of some of the names. In my case, Argentee was part of my name in SCA1 in college. I grew up in Louisiana, so knew more about french medieval history than the rest of Europe, so that decided my nationality. Argentee was a medieval french surname meaning Silver. And well, I started going grey at age 11! After 15 I no longer got carded... My dad's stepfather was a jeweler, and I had studied jewelry making with an emphasis on silversmithing, because I couldn't afford to work in gold. So Argentee it was. How about some of the rest of you? 1 Society for Creative Anachronism. A Medieval re-creation and recreation group. Also sometimes referred to as the Society for Creative Alcoholism.
