A random old figure picked up for cheap to practice layering and other things on. Feedback appreciated: FLGS had a couple of these guys priced at $10. This one, however, was marked half off and sold for $3. I guess that’s how math works. Anyway, I wasn’t able to find pictures of the assembled figure online, so I’m not sure if it is the complete sculpt. The top and bottom halves were separate pieces. This pose seemed the least wrong, or at least made the two halves fit together the closest. Several firsts (for me) going on here. Aside from some of my old Hero Quest figures, this was my first non-Reaper mini. It was also the first slotted mini, which required my first attempt at creating a base out of green stuff. I think it turned out all right, but it’s definitely something I’ll need to practice. Comments and critiques appreciated!
During the last few months I have traded and bought a good deal of second hand metal minis through a forum I joined, and several miniatures I do not know any details about have come into my possession. Here is one of them: Wargames Foundry "Father Liam" from VIK048 Viking Raiders (Thanks to Mad Jack for the info) I have an inkling that it might be Casting Room Miniatures (aka Wargames Foundry), but have yet to get this confirmed. If anybody knows where this is from, please let me know. Anyhow, a lovely little fat friar, and I love my cleric-types. I think I will call this one Friar Turner. Pax Vobiscum. Got these guys to fill up one of my Halloween orders. I'd had my eye on them for a while. Kept hoping they'd get made into bones but finally made the plunge to get them in metal. Recently ran a very short two-shot campaign in a gothic setting where they were perfect for NPCs so I painted them up. Enjoy, comments & criticism appreciated!
