This past week I painted Bufo, the Frogman (or maybe he's supposed to be a Toadman) figure from the Bones 4 Dreadmere Expansion. I decided I'd paint him like a frog, and since most all of my frog figures are already painted like colorful tree frogs and poison dart frogs, I thought I'd continue that pattern and paint Bufo like a Red Eyed Monkey Tree Frog. I love how full of character this figure is, and had been looking forward to painting him since the Kickstrater ran. Painted for tabletop use.

These are frogman warriors from the new Bones II Kickstarter figures, sculpted by Jason Wiebe. Like the accompanying frog shaman, these critters are full of character and interesting detail. I painted them up like common meadow leopard frogs, the sort of spotted green ones I played with as a child, because they seemed a bit big and burly to be tropical tree frogs. The one with the spear and human-face-shield is 92681; the one with the fork and turtleshell shield is 92682. WIP thread here. Just as a side note: Does anyone know how to make it so the pictures in the post are nice and small but we can click on them and see a larger one?

Also recently completed are a group straight out of the swamp. To start, some group shots, which nicely show how darn tiny the Stonehaven Grippli and Hengoyokai are.

Hi all, I per my habit, I painted my bones mini by batch, and the theme for this one was "the dark swamp". I imagined that the swamp was plagued by a new aquatic creature. So the current inhabitants of the swamp (Troll, frogmen and turlemen) banded together to rid the pond from this thing. (As you can tell, writing fluff is not my forte...) And a few pics of the troll: The tree was sulpted in clay, the base of the scenery is insulation foam, the vegetation is taken from dollar store easter decor... C&C welcome
