  1. Never heard of this before but it's a cool monster. Not sure when or where you'd run into one, but I bet it will be the most inconvenient time and place. According to online sources they come in all colors, so I loosely based mine on a green iguana.
  2. Good Friday everyone, I just took some pictures of the 02479, Ettin I completed last night. This is a Dark Heaven Legends metal model that was sculpted by Jason Wiebe. It stand on a 50mm base and I painted it with Reaper MSP paint. Coincidently, I was delighted to see the amazing upcoming two-headed Troll also sculpted by Jason Wiebe that was announced last night during Reaper Live #117 on Twitch. (see the image under spoiler and the end of the post).
  3. Hello everyone, back to the classics today. Here my render of Ben Siens 77009, Werewolf.
  4. Another little piece that I am happy to finally have completed. I love these monsters and they are often in my dungeons but rarely seen and never sought after. Hunting these is like hunting the garbage collector, you only do it when you think you threw out something valuable. But there have been a couple of points where I wished I had a miniature for it and now that's resolved. Hope you like him... I named him Fred
  5. Hello everyone, here is my spirit of the forest 02690, Owlbear. It was sculpted by Jason Wiebe. I placed it on a 50mm base and painted it with Reaper MSP paint. I already had painted this model 10 years ago, you can see the other version here.
  6. Hello everyone, I completed this aberration Yesterday. The metal version 02838, of the Faceless Horror sculpted by Julie Guthrie. The number of eyes and teeth on this model is phenomenal. It is not an easy monster to deal with. However, I had a lot of fun painting it. I painted the inside of the mouth prior to assembling and I used Reaper MSP paints only. I started painting this aberration during Geoff Davis' class on painting eyes at Reaper Virtual Expo. This was the perfect mini to practice the techniques which have been explained. I also had a lot of fun painting all those tooth
  7. Linked photos due to nudity. This was a quick paint job trying out the Golden Skin triad. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/gv67iiqzdbmkgnp/AABkN4rQVefNZkapQ8dJLibna?dl=0 I’ve never tried Dropbox before, let me know if it doesn’t work right.
  8. Here are some harpies. Linked due to nudity. When possible, I’ll try to paint Metal along with Bones if I have the same mini in both media. I found these a little odd, with feathers on part of the wings but serpent scales on the thighs. So I went chromatic dragon colors. The feet/claws were based off some raptor pictures off the net. Also tried three different skin tones: African, tanned, and ruddy, with correspondingly ?appropriate hair colors? I gave two beach bases and one a rocky base. Enjoy. FYI black scales with white feathers is BONES, and the
  9. Another quick and dirty. No blending in the skin/fur. A night’s work showing my son about painting fire. No WIP. Sorry the face close up is out of focus.
  10. Artisan Guild - Oni Grunt 3D Printed on Elegoo Mars. Part of my Asian themed project -Nippon, Land of the Rising Moon WIP https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/79416-nippon-land-of-the-rising-moon-by-glitterwolf/
  11. I painted up another ogre matriarch. she is so fun! This is Daisy, aka the Blonde Bombshell!
  12. 3D file is from Rocketpig Miniatures, I printed it on the Elegoo Mars. It's now part of my Shifting Sands Project. WIP HERE: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/79372-shifting-sands-glitterwolf-paints-egyptian-undead/page/16/#comments
  13. RocketPig Miniatures. 3D printed on Elegoo Mars. Necromera. Part of my Children of the Night Project. WIP Here: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/79298-children-of-the-night-by-glitterwolf/ It's night, it rains and it seems everybody in this forsaken town has closed their doors and windows. Even the Inn seems to be closed, why? One would think the villagers are afraid of something. You hear the sound of wings in the dark sky above you. Suddenly you hear a soft voice: All alone in the dark? How nice!
  14. I painted some Warhammer snake elves up as corn snakes a while back and really liked how they came out. I didn't think the full pattern would work well on a hydra but I went with the same colours and I'm pretty pleased with the result.
  15. This guy has been sitting in my unpainted minis pile for a while, looking forward to eventually getting to use him in dnd.
  16. 3D printed on my Elegoo Mars. Design by Artisan Guild. Abyss Demon this one came as a sample for presupported minis without his hands, so I printed two claws from the Death Tide Jurakin Set and upscaled those to 125% to fit the Demon. He's part of my Horde of the North Project. WIP here: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/79398-horde-of-the-north-glitterwolf-paints-barbarians-and-mammoths/page/5/#comments The Horde marches South to the civilized lands, ready to plunder and pillage. Led by the mighty Mumlak all barbarians, beast
  17. So, I recently purchased the "Nolzur's Marvelous Pigments Monsters Paint Set". Came with a bunch of Army Painter washes and paints and yadda yadda yadda... But it also came with this neat Owlbear mini, which is what I have to share with you guys today! First eyes I ever successfully painted. But in my defense, I'd only ever tried on minis with smallish eyes, which was NOT the brightest idea I'd ever had. The left eye turned out really good in my opinion, but the right one was a bit messy. I also need to do so me touch-up work on the base. I got a bit careles
  18. Well, while I let Devona dry, I’ll switch gears to a mini off the shelf of waiting... The plan is for an ice ogre, with blue-gray skin.
  19. Matthias the Twisted was insanely fun to paint, he's definitely one of my favorite undead models, and one of Bobby Jackson's more eerie characters. Despite it being the bane to Castlevania fans everywhere, i took inspiration for the hunter from Simon off of the cover of the Castlevania 2 box art. What a game haha. Sorry for the pictures being a bit blurry, but C&C is surely appreciated.
  20. Here is the cyclops from the Bones 4 Cave Dwellers stretch goal. This a really nice figure and casting. I've been committed to working through by core set and I'm still only about 25% in. Man do you get a lot of figures in that KS!
  21. I was all set the tackle this with a standard eagle-lion look with shades of brown when I found a great drawing of a griffon in blue which inspired the colour scheme. I did this relatively quickly - it was started and finished today.
  22. This colour scheme was also inspired by artwork found on Pinterest. I finished this in a day working on it along side my griffon.
  23. I needed something that looks like it could capture a creature inside. Lol
  24. These were the third installment of my Bones 1 WIPs. Which is metal? Which is BONES? You'll have to check out the WIP to decide! https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/86504-darcstaar-vs-bones-1-ep-3-oxidation-beast/&tab=comments#comment-1834708 Hope you enjoy, and I hope it helps people see that there isn't always a loss of detail between BONES and Pewter. C&C Welcome.
  25. I need a grick for D&D so painted up the chthon. He can also pass for a carnivorous plant!
