  1. The Screaming Antelope is one of the core monsters of Kingdom Death: Monster. And the fact that you can get so many fine resources from it makes it one of the most hunted creatures in the setting. For this paintjob, I wanted to move away from both the grey standard color scheme for the antelope and away from the red "skinned antelope" look I've often seen. All together, I feel like this came out really well. The base is constructed from apoxie sculpt and green stuff.
  2. I really love it anytime I get to paint those beautiful miniatures from Kingdom Death: Monster. The Kingsman was no exception. While is pose is stoic rather than dynamic, the details on the armor just sang out. My client wanted to make sure that he wasn’t too dark (with Kingdom Death miniatures, it is pretty easy to just use a lot of dark colors) so I made sure the accenting reds were bright enough to compensate, while still getting darker towards his feet.
  3. Kingdom Death: Monster is finally making its way into the hands of backers. I’ve had a chance to play it, and I can say that the game, and game pieces are quite good. It is gritty, tough and each time your tiny colony survives a nemesis, you feel a real sense of accomplishment. Now, while I don’t have any of the new minis from the game painted up, I do have one of Kingdom Death’s resin figures done. Here is the “Chosen.†While he does not yet have any rules, reading over the fluff blurb on him, I’m pretty sure that he’ll make it into a Kingdom Death expansion sometime (probably as a nemesis).
  4. I intend to reshoot the pics, this was a quick shoot before anything else broke on it...I had a few more things to paint and tweak but the sword broke in a pretty bad place and the trophy is precariously glued in, so I'm not sure how much more I want to fool with it. WIP here
