  1. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/greebo-games/vicious-wildfire-orcs-ferocity-and-football In any case, we keep on marching on and trying to become an ever better brand, and you will be able to see it firsthand with our upcoming Orcs campaign: no more humongous campaigns with three or four teams delivered one year after their unveiling, but a single one, luxurious in all its details, with an almost immediate delivery. You’ll soon be able to see not only their renderings, but also how the pieces are assembled, how they are physically and how they look in real life. And, something that many will surely like, we’re also trying to make a resin version. Well, maybe it’s going to be a limited edition, due to time management issues, but still… resin! RESIN! REEEESIIIINN!!!

  4. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/awakenrealms/1897919106?ref=ek0vh3&token=dace0a50 Story Welcome to Nemesis Lockdown draft page! Campaign is not yet live (currently planned for May / June), but you can see here some of the first information and leave your feedback! There will be gradually more and more stuff we will be sharing here, so you can check it out from time to time, but most importantly - click "Notify me on Launch" if you don't want to miss the campaign! Nemesis Lockdown is first standalone expansion to Board Game hit - Nemesis (BGG rating #35 overall, #9 thematic). Lockdown will bring the same cinematic, thematic Sci-Fi horror feel to totally new setting: Base on Mars. It will come with lot of new, fresh ideas and content while keeping some of the core Nemesis mechanics that makes every play an unforgettable story to be told. Nemesis: Lockdown I should have known when they asked us to prepare the landing platform. There are only two reasons to make a night sample transfer. It’s either too urgent to wait, or it’s a black op. Both spell trouble. My survival instinct, honed by twenty years of work in the Sample-Return Receiving Facilities, was screaming, considering the rumours that reached even our remote site. Maybe if I bailed right there, I wouldn’t be crouching in a dark lab, sweaty palms clutching a scalpel, and this damned soft voice repeating over my head: “Containment Breach, Containment Breach…” Things only got bleaker when they told us there would be human BSL-5-ET subjects coming. Extra-terrestrial samples and living people don’t usually mix. They SHOULD NEVER mix. Something went really bad out there, and we got caught in it. When Martinsen and Sovich processed the first sample, I only caught a peek from behind the armored glass. There was one word on the container. “Nemesis.” I wasn’t there when the actual breach happened. There were screams over the intercom. The main power went out. Soon, I saw Martinsen and one of the human subjects running to me from the isolation ward elevator, as if the devil himself chased them. I’ve seen it for a split second, before they were caught. I’d rather take my chances with the devil, than with the thing that took them. Now, it’s been fifteen minutes since I last heard any shots. The pain in my mangled leg subsides. I get up and slowly make my way to one of the security stations. Am I the only one left? No, thank god! Sovich is still kicking. I have her on a live feed from the main terminal. She’s… Changing the logs! Switching her name for mine. Frigging rat! When the board learns we had a containment breach, there will be hell to pay, and she wants to make sure the bill is on my name. Now, she turns towards the main console. In the middle of it, under the protective glass, is the A3-5 button, a big chunk of red plastic. They told us it enables the “Code Red Emergency Protocol” but we had no clearance to know what the protocol actually is. Don’t do it, Sovich. You might just nuke us. Don’t… Of course she does. She wants to play the good girl, an upstanding citizen. Well, there’s still time to fix everything. No one will call until morning. We’re on a dark side of the planet now, blocking all signals. I need to get topside, to the secondary console in the other building. Re-write the logs, access the classified procedures, and see what new trouble she got us into. The only things between me and my salvation is a broken airlock, a long stretch of hellish surface, and enough gamma radiation to hard-boil an egg. I’m betting these things can’t walk outside. That would be too frigging unfair...
  5. <link here> The epic Egyptian game Kemet is reborn with a new revised edition! With Kemet: Blood and Sand, immerse yourself in a more realistic Ancient Egypt. Here, Gods are powerful, masters of both the desert and the Nile delta. They challenge each other in violent battles and show no mercy. Get ready to become an Egyptian God, open the gates of your city, and let your troops sing the song of war to please you and claim your dominance as master of Ancient Egypt. Kemet: Blood and Sand features new art and upgraded gameplay with new approachable rules that go beyond the 1.5 version of Kemet developed with the help of the BGG community. Free from the constraints of existing components, designers Jacques Bariot and Guillaume Montiage go even further in fine-tuning the Kemet experience. The game also features a redesigned map with a twist, bigger and more detailed figurines, and other surprises.

We are incredibly excited to hear your feedback, so please let us know what you think. If it looks interesting to you - make sure to click the "Notify me on launch" button! The Great Wall is a new major board game from Awaken Realms (creators of Nemesis, Tainted Grail, Etherfields and many other acclaimed products). Players will take the roles of generals of an ancient oriental empire who lead the defence against ruthless hordes. You will need to gather allied advisors, manage your workers, recruit armies and, together with other players, raise and defend the Great Wall! As the game progresses, you will often need to co-operate or negotiate with other players, but make no mistake – there can be only one winner! This fresh worker (and soldier!) placement game for 1-4 players faces them with many difficult choices and often pushes them to interact with each other. You will be assigning your workers to eleven different locations, such as Tea House, Quarry, Messenger Post, or Barracks, using special Command cards that have additional effects. Production in locations activates ONLY when all their slots are filled, but filling them all by yourself can result in a penalty. On top of that, players can buy overseers who will give additional output every time a location becomes activated. This creates a lot of involving long- and short-term strategies. Each player starts with one unique General, characterized by their asymmetric power, as well as the production level. From there, you will further customize your economic engine and fine-tune your strategy by recruiting advisors who provide additional bonuses. Eventually, a Wall Defence phase beings, where players place previously build armies on Horde Cards – earning Honor (Victory points) and looting resources from the defeated troops. This requires smart management of three types of units: Archers, Spearmen and Cavalry. Players place these soldiers one by one, playing the Tactics cards that create another layer of interaction. Gain meditation by shooting with the Zen Archer, then spend meditation on a Cavalry Squad Leader to move your Cavalry around the battlefield faster, and – finally – finish off by getting extra Honor for each of the Cavalry’s engagements thanks to the Banner Holder. There are endless possibilities for great combos and memorable plays. On top of that, your Advisors and General might give your troops extra abilities, such as shooting twice or looting twice the resources! All of the above makes the Great Wall one of our most strategically involving designs that will be appreciated by many different groups of players: those who love euro-styled games with their intricate economies and engine-building, those who love over-the-table play, bargaining and negotiations – and finally, those who simply like to wage war on a beautiful map.

  10. Saw some sculpts for this upcoming miniatures kickstarter and thought some folks here would be interested. Kickstarter is expected to start in September. Will Post more details and a link to the kickstarter once it goes live. In the meantime here’s some pics of the minis. This is the same sculptor who did the Narthoks the Excellent kickstarter amongst others including the Highland cattle Minotaurs and a bunch of animal minis. Ive backed his previous kickstarter and also ordered a variety of his other minis and have been pleased with all I’ve received.
  11. Not quite sure why I keep looking at boardgame Kickstarters, but I stumbled across this one that starts on 24th June. It's for a reprint of the base game from their previous Kickstarter:- And a pair of Expansions:- Looks very JRPG influenced, which is what has me interested. They've got a draft page up at the mo, with more info, playthrough videos and stuff:- https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/succubuspublishing/772262949?ref=854027&token=fd1cf2b1
  12. Apparently Stéphane Simon -- a notable contributor to Rackham Confrontation and Mierce -- will be having a Kickstarter (presumably soon, but no date provided). "Hi Guys, I decided to develop my SIMONMINIATURES range with crowdfunding for the production of several pieces (resin). BELIUS LE NOIR, a chaotic giant will be the major piece of this KS, it will be accompanied by other pieces, a small band of Barbarians to fight it. I will give you a specific date soon, if you are a fan of my work, share and participate!" Since there is no project yet, I cannot link to it, and I believe that board rules prevent me from linking to his "website" (on blogspot). Anyway, his blog doesn't seem to mention this; I found out only by direct e-mail. He also has a presence on Facebook, but since I don't, I don't really know what information might be available there.
  13. Not much info out there yet, but Bob has started to put up concept work for upcoming mins.

  16. Vanguard: Boarding Actions in the Fifth Frontier War A miniatures game featuring exciting boarding actions in the universe of the Traveller RPG, with Imperial Marines battling Zhodani. Campaign FAQ Updates 0 Comments 12 Community Back this project Saved About Greetings fellow Travellers, and welcome to the Vanguard: Boarding Actions in the Fifth Frontier War Kickstarter project! This is a project we have been wanting to do for Traveller for a long time now, and we need your help to bring it to light... Vanguard: Boarding Actions in the Fifth Frontier War is a brand new miniatures game depicting vicious shipboard clashes between Imperial Marines and Zhodani Commandos during one of the mightiest conflicts to occur in Charted Space - the Fifth Frontier War. This game includes everything you need to engage in these close quarter battles, including full colour deluxe game boards, strategy cards, vital and never-before-seen background covering the Imperium and Zhodani Consulate, and two complete forces ready to fight! Inside the Box The Vanguard: Boarding Actions in the Fifth Frontier War box set contains: 16 Imperial Marines 16 Zhodani Commandos, including 2 Warbots Full-colour 64 page Rulebook (download sample pages right HERE!) 40 Unit and Strategy Cards 6 Deluxe Gameboards (11.7 x 16.5 inches each) Thick cardstock counters to mark Wounds, Entry Points, Barricades and Objectives. Free-standing Iris Valves, in both open and closed configurations. Keep an eye on our Updates, as we will have plenty more previews of the rules, miniatures, and a full battle report of one of the missions! Playing the Game We have created a rules set that is very easy to get to grips with (you will have the basic rules memorised within a few minutes of playing) and yet mirrors the core rules of the Traveller RPG closely. All actions, for example, are accomplished by succeeding in an appropriate check (such as a Gun Combat check to shoot an enemy or Computers check to hack a sealed door). Play begins by selecting a ship to board, such as a Destroyer, Cruiser, or (gulp!) Battleship, and then both players build appropriate forces to attack or defend the vessel. This could be as small as a platoon or an entire company, depending on the type of ship being assaulted. An initial breach scenario is played and, from there, players will proceed through several scenarios as the two forces battle one another, culminating in either the attacking force reaching a critical objective, such as the power plant or bridge, or the defenders throwing their enemies off the ship altogether! This campaign-style of game means players have to be careful as to which forces they commit and when, marshalling their best troops for the most important fights. To complicate matters, both players will acquire Strategy Cards that will allow them to wrong foot their enemy - like turning off the ship's artificial gravity or explosively venting the atmosphere, exposing everyone to the void! Stretch Goals The Vanguard: Boarding Actions in the Fifth Frontier War box set contains everything you need to play these exciting battles on the tabletop - but we have the opportunity to give you more for your money and further expand this corner of the Traveller universe. Taken on the Run If we reach a total of £60,000, we will include a printed short story written by fan-favourite Martin Dougherty. Taken on the Run begins during the first few minutes of the Fifth Frontier War and will take you through a dangerous boarding action from the point of view of the Imperial Marines. The Aslan We do not want the Imperials and Zhodani to have all the fun! If we reach a total of £80,000, we will add both the rules and 16 miniatures for the powerful Aslan, a warrior race who will look forward to boarding the largest enemy warships. The Aslan lack the sophisticated armour of the Imperium, but more than make up for that with lethal weaponry, a penchant for close combat, and sheer predatory ferocity! The Vargr Often derided as mere corsairs and pirates, the Vargr have a lot to prove. If we reach a total of £100,000, we will add both the rules and 16 miniatures for a Vargr raiding force. While not known as mighty warriors, the Vargr are exceedingly good at what they do, and many a starship has fallen to their cunning tactics. Multi-Deck Battles If we reach a total of £110,000, we will add rules to combine two or more sets of Vanguard: Boarding Actions in the Fifth Frontier War so you can launch multi-deck assaults upon a warship and really keep the defenders on their toes! After More Traveller? Traveller is one of the oldest Roleplaying Games still around, and it has built up a massive amount of background lore. You can explore this universe by adding any of the following to your pledge, simply by increasing the amount you have pledged by the appropriate amount (no need to increase your pledge level, just the pledge amount!). These items will be dispatched to you post free after the surveys for the Kickstarter have been sent out, or when they are available, whichever is soonest. Traveller Starter Set (everything you need to start playing the Traveller RPG): £50 The Element Class Cruisers Ship Builder's Blueprints (explore the inner workings of an Imperial warship): £50 The Pirates of Drinax (a massive sandbox campaign to throw you into the Traveller universe): £70 Ties to the RPG? One question we have already been asked is whether you can take Travellers from the RPG and use them in Vanguard... We will not be producing 'adventurer' miniatures at this time, but we will be taking steps to ensure miniatures produced for future games are compatible with Vanguard. However, if you already have some suitable miniatures, it is an easy step to import them into Vanguard, as the important skills will translate across directly. After that, it is just a matter of worrying about the equipment. If you have characters you would like to see in Vanguard, drop us a line in the comments and we will go through them, walking you through the process to convert them! Risks and challenges We have always delivered on our Kickstarter projects and if you were to ask one of our previous backers of, say, the new Paranoia or previous Traveller project Element Cruisers Blueprints box set, we believe you would hear that the quality of our Kickstarter projects is always worth it. That said, we have taken steps to ensure Vanguard does not overrun its projected completion date. For a start, while tweaks will continue throughout the Kickstarter process, all Imperial and Zhodani miniatures are complete (you can see painted prototypes above!), the game boards are finished, and the core rules written and undergoing continual playtests. For the production of both the box set and miniatures, we are using a factory that we have used many times in the past, including the recent Traveller box sets, Paranoia supplements, and (a blast from the past!) the award-winning Starship Troopers miniatures game. This company is highly reliable and consistently produces good work on time. Mongoose Publishing announced the start date of the KS for their Traveller 28mm skirmish game as Nov 14th. http://blog.mongoosepublishing.co.uk/?m=201811

  18. What's up, denizens of the Reaper forums! I'm proud to be able to show you some of Breachstorm ; the new sci-fi skirmish game launching on 9/18/18. :D Breachstorm is a small-scale, fast-paced game featuring 6-8 models per side that's streamlined to play in under an hour. Every part of the game - from picking your asymmetric, narrative objectives to setting up the terrain, is a crucial part of the game's strategy and a unique activation system allows players to take turns acting with small portions of their team lead by powerful Field Officers so you're never out of the action for long. The Kickstarter features two factions - the felinoid Zhen'thrar prides and the human Homeworld Confederacy; each with their own unique playstyle and a several troop options rendered in highly detailed resin figures. In addition, optional add-ons include cross-faction mercenary "contractors", deluxe acrylic tokens sets, measuring widgets, and laser-cut terrain templates. Two more factions; the enigmatic Ativari Conclave and numerous Volucrid Host, as well as additional game components, variant sculpts and mercenary models will be available as stretch goals. You can learn more about Breachstorm and even read the full rules and models statlines at www.breachstorm.com! Stay tuned for the Kickstarter campaign launching 9/18/18!
  19. A new kickstarter from the folks at Westfalia coming in August. An interesting and somewhat different take on elves.
  20. Hello All, My miniatures company, Deraj Studios, is launching a kickstarter campaign to produce a new line of true-scale 32mm miniatures from a fantastical version of the Sub-Sahara on Tuesday, July 31st. The eventual purpose of these miniatures is for use in my in-development skirmish game, Portals: Worlds Collide. In the meantime, they're an excellent choice of miniatures for your favorite flavor of pen & paper roleplaying game, as well as in games of Frostgrave, Kings of War, Open Combat and a variety of other 'minis-agnostic' games in the 28mm-32mm scales. Here are some of the miniatures that are going to be featured in the campaign: Mudlings - 18 and 19mm to the top of their heads. Brute Boulder Tosser - 28mm to the top of his head Brute Beater - 34mm to the top of his head Slorn Packbeast & Tryl Merchant - 65mm to the top of Merchant's head, 55mm to the top of Slorn Packbeast's head. Grum Snatcher - This miniature will be 85mm to the top of his head. Grum Shaman - This miniature will be 85mm to the top of his head. Grum Berserker - this miniature will be 85mm to the top of his head. Grum Seer - This miniature will be 35mm to the top of his head. Grum Berserker & Shaman Set, WIP Sculpt. We are a growing tabletop games company producing a line of true 32mm fantasy figures inspired by various folklore around the world. Our previous campaign and the resulting miniatures from it were based on Slavic fantasy, I'm excited to explore my ideas for fantastical versions of different cultures with you all. I'll be updating this post as the launch date draws nearer with more of the miniatures and concept art featured in the campaign, as well as a few spotlights on the artists of Deraj Studios. Thank you all, c&c appreciated. - Jared Anderson of Deraj Studios I'I
