  1. Up on the place recently were a few of those dungeon-dwelling jerks, Goblins! Rebel Minis finally won me over with their Anniversary Goblin Jester mini: The rest of the Rebel crew: They're also joined by a handful of Goblins from Bones 4:
  2. I've not posted anything here for the last month or so as I've been working on a commission, which I thought I would share here. The minis are from the past & present & are by various manufacturers. I extended the integral metal bases out to the edge of the plastic rim with Milliput & did some light texturing on it, the Frost Giant has Army Painter snow flock on top. The Blight Lord's base was done using Basius's "Dungeon" stamp pad & green stuff. Dark Sword Minis Male Elf Ranger DSM-7105 Ral Partha Frost Giant 01-057 Reaper Minis Brand Male Barbarian 02529 Reaper Minis Townsfolk VII Clergy 02950 Rebel Minis Blight Lord RFF0209 Off The Wall Armies Swordfish Fighter GCC17-2183 C & C's are always welcome, thanks for looking!
  3. So I have a couple armies of 15mm units as well as various packs from both Rebel Minis and Splintered Light minis. I've never painted ones at this scale before and wondered if anyone had tips for painting these little buggers. Barbarian Army, Wild Elves, Otter Archers, Dire Wolves, Henchmen, Kobold Rangers, Infiltrators, and some singles. They're so tiny!

    FTWIMH: The Port Sarai Resistance

Figures by Critical Mass Games with heads from Reaper and Rebel Miniatures, plus sculpted hair. Shuttles by MegaBloks with substantial modification. Each of these characters represents someone specific in The Worlds in my Head, though I'm not yet sure which is which. Included somewhere in there are Torla, Tirsa and Tipra Dunbar, Tirsa's daughter Alii, and Mora. I give you The Port Sarai Resistance:
  5. Another Dark Hold goblin from that KS. This was the last I had primed and ready, with his having missed out on the first batch. Thanks for looking!

    Dark Hold Goblins (Rebel Minis)

Finally got a good chunk of my Dark Hold goblins painted up, from their last KS project. I believe the wizard and barbarian are my favorites, followed by the lady goblin with the knife. Didn't realize those were boobs until I started painting them! The orange-hooded goblin is pretty hideous, I must admit, but I accidentally discovered UT Volunteer orange and had to leave him. Thanks for looking!

My Wife's Wild Elf Castle Birdhouse

My wife started working on a castle birdhouse (from Michael's I believe) while I was working on my exchange diorama. She's been doing tole painting for a long time and really enjoys doing birdhouses, which is why there are a dozen or two around the house and property. After painting it she said she wanted to do some more to it, and asked about gargoyles. I didn't have any that small, but after discussing, she built a drawbridge for it. Then I remembered the Wild Elves starter for Mighty Armies that I'd picked up for her years ago. It's 15mm. So I dug that out, and this is what she ended up with, which she gave to me the other day when we were celebrating the 10th anniversary of our first date. I think she mostly just wanted to get a birdhouse into my study...

    Merka 5 tank

Finished up a tank that's been sitting on my paint table for a while now. It's a Merka 5 tank from Rebel Minis in 15mm. The sculpt was done by the esteemed John Bear Ross. Seen here with a quick set up showing off the bushes/hedges I also finished recently http://www.scsminimadness.blogspot.com/2013/03/merka-5-and-some-scatter-terrain.html
