  1. I got this one printed out in FDM from a kickstarter. In hindsight I should have chosen resin, it did help me decide to go for a resin printer myself. The printlines are visible and it's rough, I even used putty to smooth things out where I could. All in all a nice sculpt though. WIP here: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/88958-beneath-the-waves-by-glitterwolf/page/5/
  2. I picked up some of the Cmon Wrath of kings Hadross pit fighters cheaply, and have painted a couple of test models. I am not sure about the scheme but will keep at it. The bases don't show up well but I poured Mod Podge (the relief one) into an upside down Reaper plastic base. The product is a lot thinner than mod podge and it is hard to 'sculpt'. Will have a think about how to make these more dramatic.
  3. First mini I finished in 2020! Sharkman / Karkarion Warrior Bones. Wielding a fistdagger made of his great great grandfather's tooth he's ready for battle. Nobody will contest his hunting grounds! Time to shed some blood! WIP here: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/88958-beneath-the-waves-by-glitterwolf/
  4. I decided to do the shark too. I'll post to where I've completed but still lots to do. So much that I've given up on my whale shark plans. This is photographing way better than it looks in person. Then I did turquoise ink on the clear plastic and ashen blue and vgc glacier blue and turquoise ink wash on shark. Then I started working in rubber /highlight and teal ink and spectral glow for the whale shark markings. Now I've added a bit more rubber on the top
  5. So i have two of these guys, and I'm modifying one to give it a bit of a different look I used a base from 80038: Bathalian Centurion for a shield, and cut off the shark tooth and glued it to an arm from 62111: Numenera: Erynth Grask i had laying about after a modified exchange mini and made a improvised axe i did a bit of green stuff additions to the shield for a fish skeleton color wise i'm not certain what to do just yet. I want patterns...i'm thinking a whale shark for the improvised guy, maybe a tiger or bamboo shark for the other
  6. While not the first started, this is my first finished from the Bones II Kickstarter. This mini is huge, the size of a small dragon. As usual, I am lazy-arsed about basing and have simply painted up the base as-is. Comments and criticisms honestly appreciated. WIP thread here.
  7. Last week I posted a photo of a Bones II Sharkman figure that I painted like a regular shark: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/63885-sharkman-77278-from-bones-ii/ This week I completed another one of the Bones Sharkmen, but I wanted to do something a little different with this second one. The first Sharkman I painted just like a normal shark would look: so this one I wanted to do more as a creature who had adapted to life on dry land. Perhaps a desert land where all the oceans had dried up. In keeping with that, I wanted to do this one in more a brown scheme like he had evolved to blend in with the surrounding dry rocky landscape. For fun, I thought I would keep a little bit of his ancestor's grey coloring in his tail. I'm pleased with how this different look turned out. For the complete write-up on how I painted him, please see my blog: http://allbonesabout.blogspot.com/2015/08/another-sharkman-desert-version-bones.html
  8. One of the first minis I dove into with the new Bones II set. I think I had bigger things planned for him, but I took some risks with little planning. I'm not real disappointed with the result.
  9. Basing my color scheme on a zebra shark Base coat is Stained Ivory, stripes and belly are Bathalian Chitin
  10. Familiars completed for my Coraldrax basing project! [found here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/56564-basing-coraldrax/ ]
  11. Posting my Winter Exchange mini. Always appreciate any C&C feedback. I need to work on my photos as this was my first time with the mini booth. Thanks
