  1. I have been printing minis with my new toy ( Elegoo Mars Resin Printer), this is a 3D printed Giant Snake from Artisan Guild. Part of my Lost World Project. WIP HERE: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-glitterwolf-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/page/162/#comments I was inspired by the Coral Snake. Pics with and without fancy background and with Angelica Fairweather ( Rosetta Salazar in my Project) for size comparison.
  2. 44078 Giant Snake (#616) Yeah, snakes have been around since the Garden of Eden. The earliest fossils of snakes we have date from the Cretaceous period, 145-66 million years ago). Snakes seem to be a successful group of animals, still alive and slitherin'. I tried to give it a relatively realistic patterning with colouration that might work on the autumnal flock I use these days. 32mm base. Sculpted by Julie Guthrie Great Beasts indeed! From the Lost Valley expansion Bones 4 kickstarter, 2019 Reaper Miniatures Made in Bones Black PVC available from reapermini.com These models were completed the 2nd of May.
  3. Strike first, strike hard, no mercy.
  4. So finally got the courage to post some minis that I have finished over the last few months. Here are some of the Yuan-Ti Nagendra metal minis I have always really liked. I have the archer and halberd still to paint up that I have from my most recent order, but am taking a break from the scaly creatures for a bit. I know I need to work on my highlighting but any other feedback is welcome.
  5. This is Vilthiss Snake Champion from Mierce's Banelords Range. Resin. Base is made with a Greenstuffworld Rollerpin some skulls and a few of Ristul's Fantasy Market's resin bugs. After taking the pics I noticed a little too much purple gums on the upper side of the teeth, it's fixed. He's part of my Lost World Project which you can find here: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-glitterwolf-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/&page=154 This guy has some belts and buckles, If I didn't know better I would suspect it was a Klocke sculpt.. NEW PICS ADDED Fixed the teeth and added a reflection dot. First 5 pics are the new ones.
  6. Inarah

    77492 Behir

Did a little painting today to calm my nerves before the con. Experimented with several brands of metallic paint. Photos are not great, but you get the idea.
  7. Here is the snake man warrior I finished a few weeks back. I was having issues with the yellow belly since the paint was very chalky but I did what I could. I am happy with the shading and tiny reflection on the gem on his bracer, it was my first time doing that, even though it's basically invisible from 3 feet away. Let me know what you think!
  8. Enjoyed painting these but can't say I applied any great magic or too much time to them. They were all really quick to complete, working up from coloured primer with washes then bone or cream or pink for details.
  9. If I'm going to do a Bones IV figure, why not start with this big fella.. Going to go for a classic Hooded Cobra look on the upper half and stone on the lower .. Will be using this picture for a reference.. Since I'm terrible at remembering to take pictures, I've already done: - Brown Liner all over - Stone Wash on the lower half - Stormy Grey dry brush on the lower - Misty Grey dry brush on the lower - Sepia Liner on the top - Griffon Tan on the top The stonework looks decent for now, but haven't tried for pseudo-realism on this scale before (pun definitely intended :D )
  10. The Bones Giant Cobra. I saw a lot of neat ones painted with stripes and different patterns but decided to go simple with mine. I did drybrush highlights with some bronze and copper to give him a little shimmer and he looks really good on the table. My players are worried because they fought a giant snake last session (I didn't have him painted) so they are worried there is another one coming. You never know!
  11. This is La Charra a wonderful bust from Creepytables Miniatures. I cleaned some mold lines. From the look of it the hat needs some work with putty, will attend to that later. I have decided the Skulls on the base will be sugarskulls. The snake is a Western Diamondback Rattlesnake. La Charra will get some facepaint in the Dia de Muertos style. I'm not sure about her hair yet. Blackish Blue? Greenish? Red/purple? Need to think about it, any suggestions welcome. I haven't decided about the patterns of her facepaint yet, there are a lot great ideas out there. Here are some inspirational pics.
  12. This is a little sideproject from my Lost World Project WIP here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-glitterwolf-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/& I think it deserves it's own WIP. It will be covered in the Lost World as well, but there it will be interrupted by the other things I paint and build there. With courtesy to @malefactus , @Peithetairosand @Chris Palmer for inspiring me with their awesome terrainbuilding. It all started when I noticed my spare base from Kaladrax. Kaladrax was put on a crypt as can be seen here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/77556-kaladrax-on-her-mausoleum-by-glitterwolf/ At first it was just an idea, putting some jungle stuff on that. But then things kinda got out of hand a bit. And some fericious foam cutting
  13. This is from Rackham/Confrontation an Ophidian Warrior. He is a Heavy Snake Infantryman for my Lost World. He originally came with a sword to put on his side, but I left it off. Liked him better this way. He is on a resin base from Micro Art Studio enhanded with Vallejo Still Water. WIP is here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-glitterwolf-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/&page=136 On to the pics, some against my Jungle Backdrop Board. Likes and comments welcome.
  14. Translucent blue 77310, Water Weird, Dark Heaven Bones sculpted by Bob Ridolfi.
  15. A while ago @Jasper_the_2nd sent me some minis for my Lost World Project. I painted the Clan Wars Naga Champion to fit in my world. This one is a captured Asian Pirate "improved" by the Transmuthor and turned into a Serpent Warrior. WIP here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-glitterwolf-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/&page=110
  16. Another Snake Warrior for my Lost World. WIP Here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-glitterwolf-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/&page=120 This is Reaper Warlord 14187 Ssathuss. A Nagendra Warrior.
  17. SonOfCheese and I spent a few days painting snakes. I decided that my snake, although hooded, was not a cobra. It was just hanging out with its treasures atop a comfortable stone, watching us, and waiting. Eventually I was asked to stop making hissing noises.
  18. Howdy, Last one I swear... More game pieces to come, Kev! P.s. Khaki triad on the belly!
  19. Howdy, Why does it always have to be snakes? Xiexie, Kev! P.S. Click, if you dare...
  20. Howdy, Also painted during Paint Club at Reaper HQ... Thank you, Kev!
  21. This is Marshalla Sylvie from Freebooter Miniatures. In my Lost World she is Bonita, Half Pirate / Half Snake. I gave painted her base as if she was on driftwood in the water. Had fun with the Snake part and tried a little sheer on her blouse. WIP and Lost World Stories here http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-glitterwolf-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/&page=103 Enjoy:
  22. Cobra finished, liked the model alotta, so it moved up on the "to-do ladder". It's 90% airbrush, just started using one, so very happy with it. Base is from scibor
  23. This is called TANITH's AWAKENING. A sideproject from my Lost World Project. It was born due to @knarthex's daughter Alsnia, showing a pic of a cute python with flowers on it's head. Then @Pezler the Polychromatic made up a little story in my Lost World Project. I had already seen a great Serpent Goddess statue in a thread from @Chris Palmer and after some suggestions from @malefactus and @Chaoswolf things really got out of hand. More forumites commented and suggested stuff. Anyway here it is. The Ananconda and the Python are plastic toys. The little snakes are from the GW Bastiladon. The Sugarskulls are from Greenstuffworld and a present from @Erifnogard THX! @knarthex also donated lots of flock and moss. The little bird and the smaller pots are Bones. Alsnia is Bones Sarah the Seeress 77210 The bigger pottery, treasures and vases are Resin pieces from Minimonsters and Ristul's Extraordinary Market. For the whole story and WIP's http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/73979-taniths-awakening-by-xherman1964/ http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-xherman1964-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/ Hope you guys like it. Building was made out of foam. I used some milliput and a Greenstuffworld Aztec Motif Rolling Pin. TANITH is the living statue of the serpent goddess, Alsnia performs the ritual to summon TANITH, and she breaks free from her stone form.
  24. As November's Hangout Figure of the Month, we picked Medusa 77037/02833. Now, because of boobs, I can't share most of my pics of her. However you can see them at my blog: Part 1 Part 2 At this point I just need to touch up a few spots, flock the base, and she's done!
  25. Here is one I did last week and I thought I would put it on here, I searched around at other attempts at it and decided to have a stab at it. I don't know if I should have censored this because her top half is naked but I did see that it looks like the moderator removes the image if it is not okay. Apologies if there is any offence. I found this figure really hard to do as there was lots going on with bangles and arms plus I have no idea how to do scales. I have next to no idea about highlighting as you can tell and I am just learning through trial and error so here goes. ( oh and the face got too much for me in the end as it this stage in my painting eyes are virtually impossible ! :) )
