  1. The Day of the Dead Fairy Tavern "Zapata's Skull & Rose" This is a present for my daughter, so the pictures are of the tavern just before we left to take her back to Buffalo. The glue holding the grass around the base is still curing and my quick studio backdrop is a large cardboard box. However, I present to you the tavern... To see more of how this came about, you can checkout my Work in Progress post. Enjoy!
  2. These were done in two batches, the first almost a year ago. The whole crowd. The Band. The Staff. These were part of last year's batch and I tried to give the Innkeeper the Perpetual Bartender Sneer. The Drunks. The two on the sides were last year's batch.
  3. These are prepainted wood kits from Renaissance Miniatures. I made them up as a gift for my husband, who is running a nautical campaign. The stiffened gauze fabric is supposed to look like a fish net. I'm not sure how successful it was. The kits are pretty nice. They are well-designed, fit together well and come apart into separate layers so you can place figures on different floors inside.
  4. The tavern is complete and the mouselings are having a opening party. This was a lot of fun to build and paint and I am super happy how it turned out. The outside of the tavern was not planned at the beginning, but I am happy that I added it. Planning and creating the interior was a lot of fun. The working lights and fireplace really add a lot, this is night time picture with only the lights of the tavern itself. You can find the build process here: W.I.P. I want to thank everybody who commented on the wip thread the nice comments and suggestions. Bart
  5. This falls under the "How come I didn't know about his until now" heading. I was listening to the latest Game Classy podcast and found out we have fantasy and gaming based bar here in Vancouver B.C. called The Storm Crow Tavern. I had no idea. http://www.stormcrowtavern.com/ Probably wont be able to check it out until after the holidays, but it does sound interesting. For example their "Roll a Shot" menu. Just curious how many other cities have bars like this.
  6. This is a major (works in progress) item...it will be a (24" x 24") detailed interior view of the (Inn Of Crossed Lances) in (25-28mm)...At the pace I am working on this project, it will be another (9 to 12 months) before it is completed. SCRIBE SHOP & LIBRARY (1 PHOTO)...in the works currently 4. HALLWAY PAINTING (1 PHOTO) 5. SMALL STORAGE ROOM (2 PHOTOS) 6. BLACKSMITH & CARPENTER SHOP (4 PHOTOS) Yet to go will be the following areas: A. SMALL STABLE (for 3 horses)......only an idea at this time...could be changed! B. LONG WOODEN BAR C. TAVERN MAIN ROOM (with tables & benches) D. HOT TUB ROOM......only an idea at this time...could be changed! E. SMALL BEDROOM W/SLEEPING SERVANT GIRL......only an idea at this time...could be changed!
