We needed a vulture for Rangres shadowdeep and I remembered I had a toy eagle. I was surprised by the level of detail on it and I like how it turned out.

So here's three more, just quick drybrushes but I think they are good enough for my dnd table. Hope you like them too! First one is an umberhulk: before repainting: The second one is also an umberhulk I guess (painted by my sister): before: The last one is a gorgon, simplest paintjob but effective I'd say: before:

So I've seen a bunch of people using "big bucket of monsters" toys for dnd and I decided to try it too. Did this guy in under an hour while watching tv, super relaxing! Will use him as a wacky cyclops in my campaign

Hello guys. Warming up the hand for my upcoming seminar in Madrid, did a "test" piece on this PEZ pills dispenser. I enjoy bringing toys to life through paint, and enjoyed the challenge of this sub-optimal scult by "hobby busts" standards. I was not aiming at perfect blends or anything, more about conceptually displaying contrast, both tonal and color. Enjoy. C&C welcomed. Original stock pic, for reference: ...and I found this guy as well at the kiosk a couple weeks back, so I know what my "next" test piece is gonna be... Now if I can only find a Flash one

Quick little 'paint' job with craft metallics over permanent marker on a cheap toy. Mostly done for some practice. 120mm x 95mm* MDF oval base. Classic DOOM imp shown for scale. *Found out AFTER custom ordering a bunch of these ovals that I was 1 MM off of the size I wanted... 120mm x 94mm oval, the base for enormous 40K monsters.

Octopus toy chopped apart & hot glued to some metal washers. 2" washer for the body and 1" washers for the tentacles. Mostly just a blue food colouring & floor finish wash over the original green plastic. Pink paint for the tentacle suckers and some off blue lightened with white for the water and a permanent marker to dot the eyes.

Recently saw some octopi minis done up with each tentacle separate from the body and wanted to have a few. And as luck would have it, I've scored a few toy octopi on the cheap of recent. Here's the work so far on this one. Chop... chop... Blue food colouring with acrylic floor finish

Not meant to be very good, just adding some cheap metallic onto a toy bug. Remaining black areas and teeth are Factory Original paint. Before picture is here http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/53595-plasticrack-chopshop/?p=838692
