Sculpted by Julie Guthrie and Bob Ridolfi. Painted as "blood men" (a ghoul variant) for a game I planned to run.

I started out with an Egyptian Undead faction in my Lost World but it didn't feel right. http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-glitterwolf-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/ After some good advice from @malefactus I decided to move the Eygptians to their own thread. The first one is my Mummy Captain. Now working on a Grenadier Undead Rhino Captive Carrier with a Bones Priestess as Crew

I will paint and create a Reptilian Army pure for fun. It will consists of many different kind of Reptiles and Amphibians. Mostly Snakemen, Lizardmen, Frogmen, Dragonmen, Turtlemen, Fishmen, Dinosaurs and Insects. I will happily include any monster I think will fit. A Tarrasque will be the centrepiece at some sort as the Living Lizard God. I do not play any games, so this will be pure for my own and (I hope your) fun to create. EDIT: The above was my original plan, over time and thanks to the comments made by other Forumites, this has developed into a story. This resulted in more Factions I wanted to build and paint, so this Project now also includes Pirates, Conquistadores, Native Warriors based on Inca/Aztec/Maya cultures. EDIT: And now it will also include Undead! *********** Captain Luigiano and his army had been travelling through the jungle for weeks now. The sunlight was blocked by the dense canopy of trees. Some of the men had contracted fever, and those darn mosquitos were a big nuisance! He looked at the golden plaque he had obtained. Gold, with a snakeman made out of gems on it. With this he had convinced the men to follow him. Somewhere in this accursed jungle there was a city made of gold, he was sure of it. They would conquer this city and become rich beyond belief. He looked at his army, they even had a few cannons. Nothing would stop them! Finally they reached a clearance. The men were pleased, at least they could see the sun again. They took a rest and a drink, tended to the sick. Suddenly they heard a loud roar from the other side of the clearing. Birds flew away, trees where falling! Some poison darts flew and two soldiers fell, they died before they hit the ground. A loud roar and an enormous terrifying Lizard appeared. One soldier died out of fear from just looking at it. Then the Reptilian Horde emerged from the Jungle. **************************

This will be yet another Undead /Demon Army. ( what can I say? I love evil miniatures). This army has an Asian theme. Undead Samurai Oni Asian Dragons Some living Asian Allies. Kirin Hope you will enjoy it. I created a background story for it, it is on page 2. Have fun reading! I will paint slowly and it may take a while, but I'm putting this out here to start. Since I backed Zentih's Kensei Undead KS I have a few of the Undead Samurai and Demons waiting I also have the Grenadier Wind Dragon ( alas without the two humans) and the Grenadier Imperial Dragon of the Eleven Celestial Dynasties And some Living Samurai. Also a nice Asian Graveyard Set. Some stuff that has to get painted soon..

One of my favorite Fantasy races are the Undead, followed by Chaos and Reptilians. I already have my Lost World Project which tells a tale of Conquistadores, Reptilians, Dinosaurs, and a lot more. And has some Undead in Jungle and or Pirate style in it. My Shifting Sands project is all about Undead, Arabian and Egyptian style Undead. This thread will be filled with my beloved Gothic Undead, Demons, Monsters and all things that go bump in the night. In my Lost World Project I tell an ongoing story, here I will post about all other dark things without coherency. There might be snippets of loose stories to accompany a mini or not... I hope you guys and gals and creatures will like it. Let's kick off with the critters I painted a while ago to get a feel of what is coming. Enjoy! ( or not) Bats and a Murder of Crows EDIT: I will include some Bones and minis. The bulk will be metal and I want to give the project an oldschool vibe/. Preferred minis will be, Reaper, Grenadier, Ral Partha, Rafm, Metal Magic, Otherworld and Early Citadel. The Asian Undead will be from Zenith since I backed the Kensei Undead Samurai KS and will get their own thread. ( Nippon, Land of the Rising Moon) and the Egyptian ones are in Shifting Sands Project) EDIT: Since the 3D printing bug bit me, the bulk will probably become 3d printed now. EDIT - Asked to merge my Undead Threads into one. Now CHILDREN of the NIGHT. This is for all the Ghotic Undead and their friends like Werewolves/Witches/Demons and the Witchunters and Zealots who fight them etc etc.. Eldessa Necromancer Ral Partha Female Vampire Lurien and Aysa Bat Demon

This is a really old (original sculpt, perhaps?) War Machine figure named Goreshade the Barsteward (not quite, but that makes the swear filter happier). I think that he bears a passing resemblance everyone's favorite band mascot, Eddie: ...with a medieval/fantasy twist. So I painted him up to serve as a leader for my undead. Let me know what you think.

I have this nautical thread here where I focus on creatures from the Deep, both fictional and real. Since I don't want to clutter that thread with too many pirates or a whole new army I will make a separate thread for those here. My thread for the creatures of the Seas: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/88958-beneath-the-waves-by-glitterwolf/page/6/ Recently I've been playing Total Warhammer II again, especially with the Awakened a Vampire Coast Army. While playing this I started to think, could I create such an army with minis? Well, since I have acquired a lot of 3D files lately, yes I can. Especially with a little creative freedom since I only paint and build for fun and don't actually play the tabletop game. So instead of just zombie pirates, there will also be skeleton pirates and mutated ones with shark/crab/tentacle features. There will be other pirates and such also in this thread. For starters I will focus on the Vampire Coast Army as seen in Total Warhammer II and in earlier White Dwarf Magazines. I paint slowly, I have loads of projects so it will take a while. Bear with me please. Some files I have that will be suitable for a Rotting Leviathan, A Necrofex Colossus and Undead Pirate Mob etc. More later.

Aunt Vanya:- Uncle Gregor:- While most members of the Family despair at their lost humanity, Vanya and Gregor have embraced becoming the monsters they always knew they were... Presenting Vanya and Gregor, a pair of Ghouls from Games Workshop. These two took far longer to paint than they really should have, but I'm pleased with how they turned out. As always any comments or criticisms are warmly received.

Great Grimoire's Crow Whisperer. Txarli Factory Base 3D printed on my Elegoo Mars. WIP: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/79298-children-of-the-night-by-glitterwolf/page/29/#comments So...not my best work. I got annoyed with this one, the staff kept breaking, she fell, her weapon broke. In the end I just wanted it to be over. So here she is, ready to join the forces of Valdr Hrafna's Draugr Army which has a Crow/Raven theme. She's an Undead Sorceress of some sorts.

Reaper Bones - Graveyard Golem. SKU 77526 It's on a 50mm Wooden base Part of my Children of the Night Project. WIP: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/79298-children-of-the-night-by-glitterwolf/page/29/#comments Hope you like it. I'm going to print some other Golems soon and create a unit of these for my Undead Legion. Let me know what you think! *************************** Saemus the gravedigger was almost finished, he had been digging a grave for old lady Biddington, he climbed out of it and stuck his spade in the ground. Hmmm, he thought almost nightfall, it's getting dark already, he looked around and noticed a visitor, kinda late for visiting the grave of a loved one, Saemus thought. The man was dressed in a brown robe, maybe a priest? Saemus walked to the stranger to ask him if he was going to stay for long, he wanted to close the gates to the cemetary and go home, but then he stopped. The stranger held a scroll and he was reading out loud in strange words, the symbols on the scroll seemed to glow in the dark. Feeling uneasy, Saemus took a step back, the stranger hadn't noticed him yet, what was he doing? Then it happened! The stranger spoke louder and louder, repeating words in a strange language and the very ground began to shake. A tombstone was lifted from the ground, a part of a bronze statue flew towards the tombstone, then rocks, stone, the bones of the buried all merged together and a large figure rose from the ground! The Graveyard itself came alive! Saemus had seen enough he turned around and ran! Behind him he could hear the evil laughter of the stranger. Saemus ran and ran, he would never dig a grave in his life again! *****************************

A mountain of a man in life, he was still an imposing figure in death. Presenting Jakob the Giant (The name doesn't make a lot of sense when he's solo like this, but he is somewhat larger than the rest of the skellies in the set), he's part of a Warhammer Underworlds set I've named Reinharts Deaths Heads. Pretty happy with this guy, think I managed to make his armour look well worn without going the rusty route, now I just need to get the rest of the Deaths Heads painted! As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.

I got four of these guys in that same undead sampler pack I mentioned in my post about the Damned Company. It contained a few different parts, so there was room for a decent amount of customization (there's a ton more parts I didn't even use...into the bits box they go!). For the sake of variety, I ended up using some zombie heads (from the same sampler pack) on two of these guys. So...they can read as zombies or ghouls on the table. I go back and forth on whether or not I like the various spikes they have shoved through their bodies. Overall, I guess it looks okay. I do wish they were made of a *slightly* softer plastic...I'm super-worried about those fingers snapping off at some point. Anyway, I kept the paint jobs fairly basic on the clothing for easy identification during play ("blue guy," "brown guy," and so forth). Blue guy: I think the blue guy is my favorite. They knocked it out of the park when sculpting that particular head. Brown guy: I didn't realize until I'd started basecoating that this guy had half of his face ripped off right down to the bone. Another very cool head sculpt. Green guy: I struggled to get decent pictures of this guy. The camera doesn't seem to like that hunched over pose. Dark Gray guy: Nothing much to say about this guy. He's a guy...he's wearing dark gray...he really needs to see to that exposed brain in the back of his head. Comments and criticism welcomed.
