Every year I throw a party for my primary gaming group. I usually try to have presents for everyone who is not of my family. This is the third and final dragon for tonight's festivities. Its not the quality Im most proud of but the speed. I got told yesterday that this person was coming and that it was his birthday. Soooo... in 2 hours this went from in its box to painted and sealed. Its a a fair job and it is a rather cute dragon. some of the subtleties are missing but overall, i would not be upset with it on my shelf. The dragon is Valiant's: Dragon with pendant. And yes this is my second run at this mini. I pretty much bought out a run lot of these for painting at art craft shows so I could afford to sell/give them away and still show off my more impressive dragons. Anyway, consider this tabletop quality in 2 hours from metal to sealer, and comment or critique away. I will say, highlights on the rock are brighter than they appear
these are the Miniatures I painted for the fall exchange. This is the 2013 reapercon Sophie and a small dragon from Valiant. I wanted a group of a dragontamer and her pet dragon. What I forgot to take pictures of is the fact that the sophie is magnetic and there is an additional 30 mm base tucked up under the plinth so that she can be used for play when not on display. Sorry about the perspective on the Sophie, i didn't realize that i was so low when taking the pictures. Note also that the dragon has a squishy ball for his nerves. the dragon is not the best cast in the world but it was fun for a quick paint. C&C always welcome
I just entered this into the Here Be Dragons competition, and I thought I'd post him here for commentary too. This is Viszeralyn, the Oracle dragon that I decided to paint up kind of like a Balrog. In my mind now, he's Charsaug- a magma dragon from the Iron Kingdoms setting. Oh, and I've also posted him to Coolmini for anyone who cares to vote.
So, I'm trying to take this swashbuckly guy and replace his head. http://www.coolminio...ay-blade-1.html I'm willing to behead any mini I can find, but I REALLY want to finish my wife's Elf bard/Swashbuckler. I don't need it to even be Elven. A slender human would be ok too. Ideally, It would have medium to long hair pulled back, but short hair would do. The one major requirement? He needs to be smirking. Can anyone suggest a smirking face?
