Original model, from board game Wander: Cult of Barnacle Bay, by Panda Cult Games. Customer requested a trident in the hand and a base. Couldn't find a freekkkin trident anywhere except some European company that couldn't get it here until after the deadline, so I had to mod a spear. Finished Product follows: C&C or things to do better next time would be much appreciated.
Hello again, everyone! I know I've been something of a ghost around the forums lately, but that is in no small part because I've been doing some painting for Reaper recently that I can't show off until Ron says it's time! Hopefully (with that excuse) you all can forgive my recent absence! But I have had some time for a few little quicker projects, and one of them is my version of Roland from Red Panda Miniatures! I wanted to paint up another one of their minis in time for their new Kickstarter (so I could play with at least one painted mini once my copy of the game arrives), but I didn't have a whole bunch of time to spend on him. All in all, I think I spent about 12 - 15 hours on him, so my blends aren't perfect. However, I had fun with a couple little conversions, and I'm quite happy with his face! I hope you all like him, and thanks for looking!!!
Hello again, everyone! Despite the lack of my presence on the WIP section of the forums, I have indeed been painting since ReaperCon, and I just finished my latest mini! This time around, I have a super fun mini from Red Panda Miniatures' Wander Kickstarter! Heath (the man behind Red Panda Miniatures) was awesome enough to give me a chance to paint up a few of his minis when I met him at ReaperCon, and this particular mini (Fynn the Hunter) was a ton of fun! The mini itself is super characterful with a great pose while still not being so busy as to stifle opportunities to do some fun stuff as a painter, so I used him as a chance to practice some of the color theory tips I picked up in "[email protected]$$ Colors" by Michael Proctor while also delving into some attempts at painting textures (especially on his fur and leather). So, without any further ado, here he is! Thanks a bunch for looking, and I'll try to do a much better job of doing my usual step-by-step WIP on my next mini!
