Oh wow! It's very cool, you did a wonderful job painting it. Now I really want to paint this monster.

I remember facing a rust monster in a D&D session a few years ago, my ranger was wearing magic studded leather armor. The beast had ruined the armor by eating the nails. After the fight, shredded leather armor was all that was left. Then I bought a magic mithral shirt. Good memories.

I agree...very unique color scheme. It works quite well. The oxidation on the top came out great, and the eyes are amazing. Hard to believe this is a speed paint.

Well, it is at least according to my paint log notes from a few years ago. I am pretty fast with corroded metals, as I have mentioned before, because it is a bit of an obsession of mine. For me the palate was an obvious direction because of my proclivities.

On a side note, I keep logs of what I had painted and when with a handful of notes - does anyone else keep this type of record? Is that a "thing?"

I definitely keep recipe cards for each mini (with all the paints/mixtures/techniques that I used) in a recipe box. I wish I'd been in the habit of dating them...

It is, indeed, a "thing."  Although I don't much track the dates I can definitely tell you what I've painted over the last few years.

The full version of paintRack makes it pretty easy to keep good notes about the colors used and there are notes sections that allow you the opportunity to detail information about mixes, blends, techniques, or anything else.
