Do you dress up for Halloween?

Not for quite a few years.  I could do a good Tom Petty back in college, and I once pulled off a decent barbarian at a more grown-up party, but it takes something special, like perhaps a ReaperCon... to get me inspired to pull something together now.

Then you could growl and send those kids screaming.

I can pretty much accomplish this without a mask…

Not that there are any kids wandering by on Halloween anymore, there haven’t been any for years

This last weekend I was at Railcon.  So fun playing games, and scored 25th in the Ironman challenge not really trying.  We had around 75 attendees, so not bad for losing every crayon game I played. Got into the Express finals, but didn't place.  Still, that was special because at Origins years ago mom qualified for the Express tournament but didn't realize and had retired to our room for the night.  They told her they'd been looking for her the next day.  So I saw it as playing for mom, her birthday would have been this weekend also.

Theme songs: currently love Kaen from Dororo, Red and Lost & Found from Banana Fish, and Setsuna no Ai from Bungo Stray Dogs s3, but long time biggest fave has to be 19sai from xxxHolic.

Don't dress up anymore.  Though dad says my usual dress is color-clash bag lady.

What is your favorite way to travel?

[Is it really the 20th already?]

Car/truck/van. Takes longer for very long distances but gives the most freedom. I'll usually rent a vehicle if I've flown somewhere because I find using taxis and public transport a huge pita.

No it's not the 20th. At least not here yet only about 10 pm on the 19th. ::):

Light.  It's not always obtainable or practical, but whether it be by foot, car, plane or other, there's something about leaving most everything behind that's liberating.

I’ve always wanted to try:

Take half as much luggage and twice as much money…”

But I have never had the burnable quantities of money it would take to do that.

So like this ^.

But I bet @Corsair wants us to choose between:

planes/trains/automobiles/boats/skateboards/horseback/camels/horse-drawn-buggies and so forth.

Just once I’d like to try traveling like The Rolling Stones. I saw a documentary about a concert they did on the beach in Rio de Janeiro. Three Boeing 747s to bring them and all theirs to Rio. POTUS gets by with just two 747s, and the second one is only for the press.

I can't say much for US systems, but I rather liked the Metro and the Tube.  Never had trouble using and understanding those, and in Paris I could always find where I was if I found a Metro station.

Having only gotten home from Chicago Wednesday, I'd say my least favorite mode is their buses. The drivers are like maniacs, you don't have time to sit, if there is a seat, before they're zooming off and I cannot keep my balance.  Did a 270° spin around a handlebar ending in a dip that nearly sent me head first out the rear doors.  I attribute at least half the odd bruises I came home with to the buses. And I kept getting on the wrong ones.

Bicycle, with the caveat that we’re talking about running errands rather than touring.  The farthest I’ve biked is ~65 miles, and I’m not in shape this year to do that multiple days running.  But for the local coffee roaster, the FLGS, or the library, it’s the bicycle.
