Yeah...those yeti eyes. Man...it really gives them a fierce look the light bits of blue are also a way to add some appropriate color.

That illithid is the star, though. The deep shading and excellent highlighting on the musculature and clothing...the crazy space pants...the wave of blood...it's all creepy and amazing.

I like how you handled the cobra statue, especially the eyes.

Thanks,

Yeah he does look very otherworldly even for an illithid.

Excellent paint jobs all around! I especially like Mandupar Pass. I should have gotten 2 two copies of it; one to paint as jungle terrain (my first thought upon seeing it), and another to do as winter terrain like you did.

Yeah, I was kicking myself for not having the cobra and mandupar stuff match too. It might have been better to go with all jungle.

Utterly fantastic! So let me get this straight, your friend turned down a chance to own this set simply because had a spare copy? Even if he had painted it, this is hard to understand (although I realize I might be missing a part of the story). 😆

Yeah, his is unpainted and I was a bit surprised too. I was sure he would not turn it down once he saw the finished product. It was a lot of work time and ate up a lot of paint, sealer and other materials. I was even painting it on my desk in my lunch hour at work to try to speed up the process, lol
