Collection of Large-ish Miniatures

Finally getting around to taking pictures of miniatures from the last 2 years of painting...

 

Reaper Fire Giant Queen. Copied the box art on this one. Still, very happy with how it turn out.

 

Reaper Solar. I don't feel like the NMM really reads as gold but I'm still very happy with how the contrast turned out. I think the sword turned out great and I'm really happy with the whole color scheme (even if it is more rainbowy than I normally like).

 

Reaper Gnomish Bee Rider. I based this off a picture I found online. This was my first attempt "sculpting" my own base and I clearly have a lot to learn. The gnome turned out fantastic though.

 

Mantic Games - Goblin Winggit. Pretty simple paint job but I think this is a very cool sculpt.

 

Mortal Arrow Miniatures - Living Toadstool. Another custom base and one I'm a little happier with.

That fire giant queen is quite impressive. I especially like the work you did on that spear.

 

Solar - Yes, very colorful...but it looks great. The wings are outstanding. I think the gold looks fine (and it complements the blue nicely).

 

That goblin winggit is super-cool (as are the goblin riders). Nice woodgrain and texturing on the rope.

 

Good work on the other two, too.

Wow lots of great stuff - I like the fire giantess a lot, great work highlighting all those scales on the armor. The solar is a different color scheme that really works.  The frog and goblin contraption are also very nicely done, but that gnome bee rider is steeling the show! Not sure what you don't like about the base, it's a great idea well done as far as I can tell - inspiring!

Really dig the colors on the solar.  Reads as very 'celestial' without being all white robes and clouds.  Definitely want to steal if I can ever figure out this whole NMM thing.

Some great stuff here! I really dig the spear on the fire giant, I may need to steal that. The solar is fab and the bee fairy is stellar. Nice work!
