shelf organizers

I decided to build some shelf organizers  because real ones are $$$$ expensive. Hopefully getting stuff out of the way will allow for things to be out of the way of little grasping hands. Pics later.

This one is for my terrain boards

My local walmart hasn't had foam board for a while and the Staples I checked wanted quite a bit of money for some dinged up boards.  Is there a bit of a shortage at the moment?

I see some at Dollarama all the time. I haven't noticed supply issues where I am (TOronto).

I got some oversized (best value) in 2020 for anticipated supply chain issues that didn't arrive, and I haven't even gotten to those yet. I have lots of supplies around. Maybe where you are locally? I generally either get chain dollar store or fine art supplies (though FYI if getting masonite or other similar basing material home depot seems best value).

I don't know if there is a shortage, but if you're anywhere near central Illinois, try the Dick Blick warehouse in Galesburg IL.  I got 50 sheets for $35. And it's not the cheap stuff either.

Both gluing one is finished the other is at stage 1.

I will put these 2 on either end to distribute weight on my terrain board. Photo when finished.

Apparently all my backdrops and boards fit into one section...

Oops? Not sure what else I can put in there. Maybe i only need and can use another for smaller bits organizing.

I got some foamboard at a dollar store.  I feel like the premium Elmers was stronger but this will do for now.

 

And the obvious solution is to make more boards and backdrops.  I mean come on.

I have very little time. And of course I'm building something that won't fit... a water line wrecked boat.
