Hmmm... I just noticed that the jerk chicken with veggies and corn that we had last night was surprisingly healthy.  The rub and the smoke might not be the best for you, but it was a good use for a ton of Scotch Bonnets and Bahia Goat Peppers.  Here's a colorful picture or two:

Now I'm off to a 9pin bowling tournament.  Wish me luck!

Well, "healthy" varies by definition.  Some of the things I eat are on my diet and, therefore, "healthy," but wouldn't normally be considered so.  Yay, the contradictions of a low-carb life.

But, snack-wise, I'm almost always happy to munch on some mixed nuts (low salt, if it's available) and cheese.  But we also have things like fajitas (with low carb tortillas, or I just skip that and add some salsa and cheese).

The weekend is nearly over, so this is what I did:

  • Friday was spent going back and forth with Pa Strawhat about him coming to a hockey game or two with us.  He eventually declined, and Youngest mooched the tickets for her and the 'Bonnets.  Eldest and her family are out of commission while Strawcap has pinkeye.
  • Saturday morning was spent on chores so that Pa Strawhat, Youngest and the 'Bonnets could come over and watch our favorite college football team lose (again).
  • Saturday evening was the second game of the series for hockey.  I then drank a soda after 10pm, and was therefore awake 'til 5am (unadjusted)/4am (standard time).
  • Sunday was spent (finally) sleeping and grocery shopping.  I'm hoping to hobby later tonight and make some progress on my Genestealer Cult.

Don't know if I'd call it a favorite, but do tend to eat a lot of cabbage. Be it in salad form or as home made sauerkraut.

We broke heat records on this unseasonably warm weekend. So my interest in starting to add the window weather stripping for winter waned pretty quickly.

I went to the MET live opera broadcast of La Traviatta on Saturday. And on Sunday, I cooked a lot. Pickled boiled eggs; home made sauerkraut; squash-carrot soup; roasted baby potatoes. And it was game night (White Wolf rule set, but not WoD setting).

What is your biggest model? (TGP)

Probably the big bad gnoll god thing Archvillain Games did, but I haven't printed that yet, so I'll instead say Anubis from the same group.  I also have Meirsoa and Oleana in 75mm from White Werewof Tavern printed...

...And then there's my gunpla kits, with my Master Grade Sazabi Ver.Ka being the tallest, and will be even taller once I start on the Yujiao Land resin conversion kits I have for it...

As for painted, that would probably be either the Crashed Aquila Lander, the Mystic Circle from Reaper, or my Queen of Hell depending on how you look at things.

Oh right, there's also Dragons Don't Share 2014 Edition, which I did for the 7-day goblin challenge... Not sure how I forgot about that.

Biggest I own is Sophie's Revenge, followed by Wizkid's Falling Star. Then it's a bunch of dragons that vary in size depending how you measure them.

Biggest I've painted yet is Bones Ebonwrath (SKU 77102) during a limited palette challenge we had several years ago (3 colors + B&W). I got stuck with Alien Goo green as the base color. Not my most aesthetically pleasant color combination.

We have a chicken, rice and veggie mix about twice a week. It tastes pretty good and doesn't look healthy at all. But it surprisingly is.

This weekend was pretty busy taking care of family members, cleaning the house, raking leaves and working on a project to go through a bunch of stuff in storage and get rid of it. We did manage to get together with some friends for a quick beer on Saturday though.

The biggest I have is the Sophie's Revenge Pirate ship. It's about half painted at this point. The biggest completely painted mini I have is a toss up between Ma'al Drakar and the barge from Bones 4. Technically if you measure the barge from end to end its bigger than Ma'al, but the dragon has more surface area.

It would have to be this one, a Monogram 1/48 scale Superfortress I built in high School. It turned out pretty well.

We are finishing the girl (Lucid Eye Amazons) on the paint desk, then doing a few other grey models, like Gandalf before I switch out the palette. I have to take the work clothes to the seamstress and hopefully switch the tires on the cars.

I think most of the food we eat is pretty healthy. I just have a terrible sweet tooth. I blame my German ancestors. "We understand, Homer. We come from the Land of Chocolate." We made riblings in black bean sauce with squash and poblanos earlier this week. To make: use 1/2 b. nut squash in little chunks. Put in bottom of big casserole with lid. Cover with riblings (short ribs in bit sized chunks). Bake in oven at 375F for 1/2 hour. Remove riblets, put in bowl. Drain off half pork stock. Make black bean sauce. I use the one at Made with Lao, but I leave out the cornstarch and canola oil. Replace riblings and sauce. Top with 1 poblano in chunks. Cover, return to oven for 1/2 hour or until done. Serve with rice. Lilly gives it 4 paws up!

That rotten mumak from GW. He's half painted. I have no idea what to do with such a huge grey beast. Biggest finished model wouldn't be anything bigger than ogre-sized, unless we're counting terrain. I guess I'm not a fan of biggitures.

Miniature-wise, the best thing I've done was less about the quality of the work than the intention behind it, which obviously would be Little Guindyloo Who.
